Senior Clinician, MD/DO National Telehealth Opportunity - Remote | Q Care Plus Lead the Future of Virtual HIV & Sexual Health Care

Q Care Plus is seeking an experienced physician leader to join our growing national telemedicine practice as a Senior Clinician. This role combines clinical excellence with operational leadership, providing the opportunity to directly influence the quality, scalability, and innovation of virtual healthcare delivery across the United States.

Reporting to the Chief Medical Officer, the Senior Clinician serves as a key clinical leader responsible for overseeing physician, nurse practitioner, and physician assistant providers while helping shape the future of HIV prevention, sexual health, infectious disease care, and related service lines. This position is ideal for a physician who is passionate about improving access to care through technology while mentoring clinicians and driving high clinical standards. This is a predominantly leadership-focused role with approximately 75% dedicated to clinical leadership and provider oversight and 25% dedicated to direct patient care.

What You'll Do Clinical Leadership & Provider Management
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and supervision for a multidisciplinary team of physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants.
  • Ensure consistency and quality across clinical care delivery.
  • Conduct chart reviews and quality audits to support patient safety and continuous improvement.
  • Review and resolve clinical escalations, exceptions, and patient safety concerns.
  • Lead provider performance management, feedback, annual evaluations, and corrective action processes.
  • Mentor clinicians and foster professional development, engagement, and wellness.
  • Support clinician onboarding, training, and ongoing education.
Operational & Strategic Leadership
  • Partner with the Chief Medical Officer and Director of Clinical Operations to implement clinical initiatives and operational improvements.
  • Support development and refinement of clinical protocols, workflows, and standard operating procedures.
  • Collaborate with Product, Analytics, Clinical Operations, and Business Development teams to support growth and innovation.
  • Participate in provider recruitment, interviewing, and selection processes.
  • Monitor provider productivity, compliance, documentation quality, and patient outcomes.
  • Serve as a liaison with collaborative practice agreement partners and clinical staffing organizations.
Direct Patient Care
  • Perform virtual patient evaluations and develop evidence-based treatment plans.
  • Deliver care through Q Care Plus telehealth platforms.
  • Manage and support patients receiving HIV prevention and treatment services.
  • Coordinate care with clinicians, care coordinators, pharmacists, and community partners.
  • Ensure accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation.
Ideal Candidate

Required Qualifications
  • MD or DO degree from an accredited institution.
  • Active and unrestricted medical licensure.
  • Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in HIV care, STI management, infectious disease, sexual health, public health, or related specialties.
  • Minimum of 2 years of clinical leadership and/or practice management experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of direct supervisory experience in a clinical setting.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience working effectively in high-growth, fast-changing healthcare environments.
  • Ability to travel periodically as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in telemedicine or digital healthcare delivery.
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary remote clinical teams.
  • Additional graduate-level education in healthcare administration, business, management, or a related field.
  • Experience implementing quality improvement initiatives and clinical operations programs.
Required Certifications
