Job description

A top FQHC in NY is seeking a Physician Lead, Genesis Quality with a strong background in Family Medicine and HIV care to oversee and advance HIV and Hepatitis C quality initiatives across Long Island and New York City. This leadership role blends direct patient care with regional quality oversight and resident precepting within a mission-driven, community health organization. Primarily based out of Suffolk County + 1 admin day from home.
Compensation : $250000 - $300000

Job Function:
  • Physician Lead role focused on HIV and HCV quality initiatives
  • Clinical / administrative split:
    • 4 days onsite clinical work
    • 1 dedicated remote administrative day
  • Regional quality oversight across the organization
  • Active role in resident precepting (family medicine residents)
  • Oversees HIV and Hepatitis C (HCV) quality initiatives across Long Island
  • Supports and aligns HIV/HCV quality measures in NYC
  • Coordinates quality efforts across multiple regions
  • Reviews and monitors retention and viral load suppression QI projects
  • Leads and supports PrEP quality improvement initiatives for Long Island
  • Conducts and/or supports regional quality audits
  • Tracks performance against established quality benchmarks and documents improvement efforts

Job Requirements:
  • MD or DO
  • Family Medicine training required with experience with infectious disease/HIV
  • Board Certified / Board Eligible
  • Experience in HIV care, quality improvement, and population health initiatives
  • Comfort working across multiple clinical sites and regions
  • Interest in teaching and mentoring through resident precepting
  • Ability to participate in rotating on-call schedules
  • 2 years of experience required.
