JOB DESCRIPTION
Title: Senior Marketing Events Coordinator
Location: Washington DC
Work Arrangement: Hybrid
Classification: Non-exempt
GENERAL SUMMARY
The Senior Marketing Events Coordinator is responsible for the coordination and successful execution of a variety of marketing initiatives. As part of the Events Team within Marketing & Business Development, the position facilitates coordinating client events in-person and virtually. In-person events take place both within A&B offices and off-site. Off-site events can, and frequently do, include travel to other locations, typically domestic, but sometimes international. Virtual events include management of multiple technology platforms. The Senior Marketing Events Coordinator will also facilitate firm sponsorships, program e-communications, serve as a point-person for the firm client gift program, and help maintain the client entertainment ticket program across offices. The success of these various roles relies heavily on advanced experience in the events space, enhanced technical knowledge, great organizational skills, creativity, ability to easily travel when needed, as well as maintaining a professional presence and leading with a positive client service approach both externally and internally.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Event Planning & Execution
  • Coordinate and execute client programs, including seminars, webinars, receptions, dinners, and special events
  • Manage event logistics from start to finish, including venue sourcing, vendor negotiation, vendor coordination, invite distribution, budgeting, and on-site execution
  • Support the development of program materials, multimedia elements, and communications
  • Oversee registration, attendee experience, CLE coordination (as applicable), and post-event follow-up

Sponsorships & Client Engagement
  • Manage firm sponsorships, including negotiating benefits, coordinating deliverables, and ensuring alignment with firm objectives
  • Support client engagement initiatives, including event-related communications and follow-up

Client Entertainment Season Ticket Program
  • Maintain the client entertainment ticket program for designated offices, which involves a highly organized system of inventory management, establishing relationships with vendors, on-going internal communications to attorneys, evaluating and determining best-use allocation of tickets, electronic transfer of tickets, detailed recording, tracking and reporting of usage, and research on new opportunities

Programs & Operations
  • Coordinate the firm's client gift and holiday programs, including sourcing and logistics, with a focus on creating meaningful, memorable gifting experiences that enhance client relationships and reflect the firm's brand.
  • Maintain accurate records and reporting across marketing systems and tools

Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
  • Serve as a key point of contact with vendors, venues, and industry partners
  • Collaborate with marketing, practice groups, and cross-functional teams across offices
  • Partner with internal departments including Conference Services, CLE, IT, and Communications

Technology & Systems
  • Utilize firm tools and platforms such as Microsoft Office, Teams, Zoom, CRM systems, and marketing automation tools to manage programs and track results

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, Communications, Hospitality, or related field
  • 6+ years of experience in event planning within a law firm or professional services environment
  • Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a client-focused mindset
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and virtual event platforms (Teams, Zoom)
  • Willingness to travel (primarily domestic, occasional international) and support morning/evening events and occasional weekend events
  • Knowledge of the Washington D.C area restaurant and hospitality scene, including experience sourcing venues for client-facing events
  • Prior experience managing or supporting client gifting programs, with a focus on delivering thoughtful, high-quality, and brand-aligned items

The salary range for this position in Washington DC is $90,000 - $100,000 and represents the Firm's good faith minimum and maximum range for this role at this time of posting. The actual compensation offered to a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's experience, qualifications, and locations.
