Job description

SUMMARY 

Mortenson's Energy Storage Group is currently seeking an experienced Integrated Construction Coordinator II to implement and oversee Virtual Design and Construction processes throughout phases of a project. Strong communication skills are necessary as you will be interacting with staff at all levels in an ever-changing environment. Your ability to remain flexible, inventive, dedicated, and efficient with a high level of integrity and confidentiality is vital to your success in this role.
100% Travel on Rotation OR 50% at home/50% travel

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Plan, implement, and oversee VDC processes through appropriate technology platforms

  • Working with survey data; communicating with project field teams through Trimble Business Center software to deliver designs to survey equipment

  • May include, Mortenson BIM/VDC uses existing conditions modeling, cost estimation, phase planning (4D), site analysis, design reviews, 3D visualization, 3D coordination, site utilization planning, construction system design, digital fabrication, 3D control planning and record modeling
  • Provide point of contact for construction team members on VDC processes and reports during all phases of construction
  • Document work process as it relates to improving and/or changing current company process standards 
  • Assist in training on VDC processes
  • All integrated construction team members should be active participants in Mortenson's IDAT (Integrated Delivery Advancement Team) community of practice- sharing knowledge 
  • Daily work planning
  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associates or Bachelors in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, Construction Management, Civil Engineering Technology, or equivalent field 

  • Proficiency with REVIT Autodesk AutoCAD Civil 3D, Trimble Business Center, and/or ArcGIS software 

  • 4+ years related experience 

  • Survey data knowledge and/or experience is preferred 

  • GIS data management is a plus 

  • Completion of intermediate level of BIM/VDC software training 

  • Detail orientation sufficient to organize and handle multiple project tasks at a time 

  • Possess basic understanding of construction law and generally accepted business practices 

  • Microsoft Office, project, and pertinent web application skills at an intermediate level 

  • Positive and professional attitude, and strong customer service skills 

  • Ability to interpret and communicate Mortenson policies effectively 

  • Strong communication, teamwork orientation, initiative, problem-solving, and leadership skills 

  • Open to change based on diverse input and feedback 

  • Current driver's license

The base pay range for this role is $89,500-$120,800. (Actual range is higher for the following office locations: Denver, CO and Chicago, IL - 5%, Seattle, WA, and Portland, OR - 10%, Washington, D.C. - 12.5%).

Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual's knowledge, skill, and experience with consideration given to internal equity.
