Job description

We are seeking an experienced Systems Administrator responsible for supporting enterprise Windows and Linux server environments, VMware virtualization, Dell server infrastructure, Microsoft Azure services, and enterprise automation. The ideal candidate will maintain highly available, secure, and scalable infrastructure across on-premises and cloud environments.

Windows & Linux Administration

  • Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows Server and Linux operating systems.

  • Administer Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, file services, and enterprise authentication.

  • Perform server provisioning, upgrades, migrations, and lifecycle management.

  • Monitor system performance, availability, and capacity.

  • Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity procedures.

VMware Administration

  • Administer VMware vSphere, ESXi, and vCenter.

  • Manage virtual machines, clusters, HA, DRS, vMotion, templates, and host lifecycle management.

Dell Infrastructure

  • Manage Dell PowerEdge servers and Dell OpenManage Enterprise (OME).

  • Perform firmware lifecycle management, hardware monitoring, and troubleshooting.

Patch Management

  • Plan and execute enterprise server patching using WSUS, MECM/SCCM, Azure Update Manager, Automox or equivalent tools.

  • Develop standardized patching methodologies and maintenance procedures.

Azure & Hybrid Infrastructure

  • Administer Microsoft Entra ID and hybrid identity.

  • Support Azure Virtual Machines, Azure Virtual Desktop, storage, networking, backup, and recovery services.

Automation

  • Develop PowerShell scripts to automate server provisioning, reporting, monitoring, and maintenance.

General Responsibilities

  • Participate in infrastructure projects, on-call support, change management, and documentation.

  • Collaborate with networking, cybersecurity, cloud, and application teams.

Experience:

  • 3-5 years of progressive systems administration experience in enterprise Windows and Linux environments.
  • Strong VMware vSphere, ESXi, and vCenter administration experience.
  • Experience with Dell PowerEdge servers and Dell OpenManage Enterprise (OME).
  • Experience with enterprise patch management tools and methodologies.
  • Advanced PowerShell scripting and automation skills.
  • Experience administering Microsoft Entra ID and Azure services including Azure Virtual Machines and Azure Virtual Desktop.
  • Working knowledge of enterprise networking including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing, switching, firewalls, VPNs, and load balancing.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience.

Preferred Certifications: 

  • VMware Certified Professional (VCP)
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104)
  • Windows Server Hybrid Administrator (AZ-800/AZ-801)
  • RHCSA
  • Dell Technologies Proven Professional
  • ITIL Foundation

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple priorities and projects.

The estimated salary for this position ranges from $74,000 to $104,000 annually. Actual compensation will vary based on factors including but not limited to the candidate's skills, experience, and qualifications. Geographic differentials may also apply depending on the position's location. There is no application deadline for this role; recruitment will remain open until the position is filled.
