Overview

As a key member of the Internal Communications team, reporting to the Director of Internal Communications for the General Bank and Enterprise Technology & Operations (ET&O), this role is responsible for developing and executing strategic communications that drive alignment, engagement, and business results.


This position partners closely with senior leaders and business stakeholders to translate complex priorities into clear, compelling communications that inform, inspire, and activate associates across the organization.


Responsibilities & Qualifications

Strategic Advisory & Partnership

  • Build and maintain trusted, consultative relationships with internal clients, including senior leaders, to align communications strategies with business objectives
  • Advise on messaging, channels, timing, and audience segmentation to maximize impact and engagement
  • Serve as a strategic thought partner, proactively identifying opportunities to enhance communications effectiveness

Content Strategy & Development

  • Lead the end-to-end development of high-quality internal communications aligned to strategic priorities
  • Translate complex business topics into clear, concise, and engaging content tailored to diverse internal audiences
  • Ensure consistency in voice, tone, and alignment with enterprise brand standards

Collaboration & Integration

  • Partner with Internal Communications colleagues and cross-functional teams to ensure seamless editorial and production planning
  • Align messaging across channels including intranet, email, digital signage, events, and leadership forums
  • Coordinate with platform teams and creative partners to deliver integrated, multi-channel communications

Core Deliverables

  • Executive and senior leader communications, including scripts, talking points, and presentations
  • Internal email campaigns and enterprise messaging
  • Intranet content (end-to-end ownership including research, writing, editing, approvals)
  • Video storyboards and production plans in partnership with creative services
  • Leadership presentations (PowerPoint with supporting narratives)
  • Digital messaging, including signage and visual communications

  • Develop and deliver communication strategies and assets aligned to business goals
  • Provide expert counsel on messaging, positioning, and outcomes

  • Edit and proofread content to ensure clarity, accuracy, and professionalism
  • Manage editorial calendars and project timelines

Basic Qualifications

  • 8 years of experience in internal communications, corporate communications, or related field OR High School Diploma or GED and 8 years of experience in internal communications, corporate communications, or related field.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Teams, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Experience working with internal communications platforms (e.g. enterprise email tools, digital signage systems, and/or virtual event platforms)

  • Exceptional writing skills, including experience crafting executive-level communications
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and build credibility at all levels, including C-suite
