Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Experience:

• 18 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 18 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience with 1 months worked in the last 12 months.

• Experience with Epic is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a North Carolina license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <50 miles from facility will be processed as local.

• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Simplifi Program - Advocate Health Southeast and no current placement allowed at Program: Simplifi Program - Advocate Health Southeast.

• 12 months gap required between for Part-Time at Program: Simplifi Program - Advocate Health Southeast and no current placement allowed at Program: Simplifi Program - Advocate Health Southeast.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: - Basic Med/Tele skillset: cardiac rhythm interpretation, experience with non-titrating cardiac drips (Cardizem/Amiodarone), wound care, drain/tube management, PIV starts, central line management.

Unit Details: - Patient population includes stroke, respiratory illnesses (flu/pneumonia/COVID), renal failure, peritoneal dialysis, and wounds. - RN ratios 1:5-6; surge staffing could have ratios of 1:7-8. CNA ratio 1:10. - CNA support for ADLs, mobility, and feeding; no HUC. Charge nurse may or may not have a patient assignment. Phlebotomy, IV/VAT team, and telemetry monitoring/tech available. RT, hospitalist, and intensivist coverage 24/7. - VNO virtual nursing with 10 cameras; virtual RNs can act as 2nd RN witness for certain meds, closely monitor patients requiring special monitoring, and assist with admission/discharge items.

Shift & Scheduling: - Every other weekend. - Possibility of low census call. Can be called back up to 3a for Nights and up to 3p for Days. - Travelers will work 75% of holidays. - Schedule cycle: every 6 weeks.

Special Requests: - RTO: Can approve up to 6 days off, excluding holidays; must add time to the end of the contract if unable to meet contracted hours.

Floating Requirements: - Within Region 3 and scope of practice: Cleveland, Kings Mtn, Lincoln, Central Division (CMC Main, Mercy, LCH). - If floating mid-shift, traveler will remain on the clock while traveling between facilities.

6 days maximum time off
