No Certified Chest Pain Center Stroke Center Radius rule: Traveler’s permanent address must be 50 miles outside of home unit ● Unit Information: Beds: 32 ▪ Census? Average patients/day? 32 Minimum Years of Experience required? 18 months Med/Tele RN experience Will you accept a first-time traveler? Yes ● Patient Types/Common Diagnoses: Stroke, Respiratory Illnesses: Flu/Pneumonia/COVID, Renal Failure, Peritoneal Dialysis, Wounds, etc. ● Patient Ratios: RN: 1:5-6; surge staffing could have ratios of 1:7-8 LPN (if applicable): 1:5-6; surge staffing could have ratios of 1:7-8 CNA: 1:10 ● Required Licensure Certifications: RN: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS ● Skills required: Basic Med/Tele skillset: Cardiac rhythm interpretation, experience with non-titrating Cardiac drips (Cardizem/Amiodarone), wound care, drain/tube management, PIV starts, Central line management, etc. ● Support within the Department: CNA - ADLs, mobility, feeding No HUC Charge nurse may or may not have patient assignment Phlebotomy?
