Job description

We are seeking an experienced Business Development Director - PC/Console to drive AAA and AA licensing partnerships for Wizards of the Coast and Hasbro. Reporting into the Head of Digital Licensing & Partnerships, this role is central to sourcing and closing high-impact collaborations that drive our growth and sustain our position as the #1 licensor in video games globally.

This is a front-line, externally facing role passionate about identifying, pitching, negotiating, and closing best-in-class deals with the best developers and publishers in the world. Success in this role will come from a strong network, sharp commercial instincts, and the ability to match the right partners with the right IP-across a portfolio that spans core and casual audiences worldwide.

This is a hybrid role requiring three days a week in our Renton, WA office.

What You'll Do:

Source, negotiate, and close AAA/AA PC & console licensing deals across the WotC and Hasbro portfolio, owning opportunities end-to-end.

Build and maintain a strong pipeline of partnerships, aligning the right IP to the right developers and publishers across audiences-from core gamers to casual and preschool.

Structure high-value, multi-year agreements that maximize franchise value, long-term revenue, and repeat business.

Represent Wizards and Hasbro externally as a partner of choice for premium game development.

Evaluate opportunities with commercial and creative rigor to prioritize the highest-impact deals.

Partner cross-functionally to implement deals and support licensee success, driving strong outcomes and long-term relationships.

What You'll Bring:

  • Tenure in video game business development and licensing, specifically on PC and console titles in the AAA/AA space
  • Proven dealmaker with a record of closing of high-value partnerships with top developers and publishers
  • Experience across diverse IP portfolios, spanning core, casual, and kids/preschool audiences
  • Deep expertise in licensing structures and deal economics, including multi-year, multi-title agreements
  • Strong industry network across studios, publishers, and platform partners
  • Sharp commercial judgment, with the ability to evaluate partners, creative quality, and financial opportunity
  • Excellent negotiation and cross-functional leadership skills in global, fast-paced environments
  • Passion for games and our vast catalog of popular IP (including Transformers, Monopoly, GI Joe, My Little Pony, Power Rangers, and Peppa Pig)
