Job description

Sony Pictures Entertainment is seeking a Vice President, Finance Transformation to lead high-impact initiatives that advance the evolution of SPE's global Finance function. This role will define and drive a multi-year transformation agenda spanning planning, forecasting, management reporting, process redesign, systems enablement, data governance, automation, and Advanced Technology-supported analytics, including AI. The Vice President will operate as a senior partner to Finance, Technology, and Business leaders across the company, translating strategy into practical execution and measurable value creation.
The role requires a leader with strong finance credibility, executive presence, and hands-on transformation capability. This person must be equally comfortable shaping future-state operating models, building business cases, guiding enterprise change, and ensuring disciplined delivery across concurrent initiatives.
Core Mandate:
The Vice President, Finance Transformation will be accountable for designing and executing an enterprise finance transformation roadmap that:
  • Leads the enterprise-wide modernization of budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and analytical capabilities across Sony Pictures Entertainment, establishing a scalable and future-ready finance operating model.
  • Champions the adoption of next-generation finance technologies and data platforms-including SAP Datasphere, SAP Analytics Cloud, intelligent automation, and AI-enabled solutions-ensuring strong governance, business alignment, and measurable value realization.
  • Drives transformation of finance operating models, processes, and workflows to enhance organizational effectiveness, strengthen governance, and improve data quality, transparency, and control.
  • Provides strategic oversight for the deployment of technology, automation, advanced analytics, and emerging AI capabilities, ensuring scalable, secure, and responsible implementation across the enterprise.
  • Establishes and institutionalizes transformation management disciplines, including portfolio prioritization, governance frameworks, value realization, performance measurement, and enterprise change leadership.
  • Delivers sustainable business impact by accelerating financial planning and reporting cycles, enhancing decision intelligence, improving organizational agility, and reducing reliance on manual processes through technology-enabled transformation.

Requirements:
The successful candidate will be a senior finance transformation leader with a track record of driving complex, cross-functional initiatives in matrixed organizations. The individual should combine financial expertise, strategic thinking, executive communication strength, and hands-on leadership in process, systems, and data-enabled environments.
Experience and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, analytics, or a related field required; MBA, CPA, or other advanced qualification preferred.
  • 12+ years of progressive experience in finance, consulting, transformation, FP&A, business intelligence, or finance systems roles, with significant leadership responsibility.
  • Demonstrated success leading enterprise or large-scale finance transformation initiatives spanning planning, reporting, process redesign, systems enablement, and operating model change.
  • Strong understanding of financial planning, accounting, reporting, analytics, and the control environment within a complex business.
  • Experience working within SAP-based finance environments; familiarity with S/4HANA, planning/reporting platforms, analytics, and automation tools strongly preferred.
  • Experience building business cases, evaluating tradeoffs, and influencing senior stakeholders with well-structured narratives and recommendations.
  • Experience implementing or scaling intelligent automation, BI, advanced analytics, or AI-enabled finance use cases.
  • Ability to operate as both strategic architect and practical execution leader.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead through ambiguity, take a hands-on approach, manage multiple priorities, and drive measurable outcomes in fast-paced environments.

The anticipated base salary for this position is $240,000-$290,000. This role may also qualify for annual incentive and/or comprehensive benefits. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location of the position.
