About the Role:
Based in New York and reporting to the Global Head of Risk & Compliance (who is based in London). Utilising a hybrid working pattern with a minimum of 3 days per week in the office. Significant experience of US (re)insurance broking is required, and an understanding of the London Market would also be beneficial. Working closely with the Global Head of Risk & Compliance and the UK SVP Compliance, acting as a business advisor and enabler.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Providing advice on and drafting of business documentation, to include but not limited to RIAs/TOBAs, NDAs, Confidentiality Agreements, related contractual or insurance documents.
  • Responsibility for managing the firm's Conflicts of Interest Register, including leading firmwide annual attestations.
  • Accurate and up to date record keeping for all documentation.
  • Working closely with all key stakeholders to ensure that the Trading Partner process is followed with maximum efficiency.
  • Advising on licensing requirements to ensure that the business is permitted to transact and / place business in specific market / jurisdictions.
  • Act as relationship manager for third-party Compliance support in other jurisdictions, such as Bermuda, where there is no local Compliance resource for Acrisure Re.
  • Ensuring compliance with all applicable regulatory regimes.
  • Providing business support and commercial solutions for Trade Sanctions matters, identifying potential issues and escalating where required.
  • Compile, collate and prepare Compliance data and MI to be used across a range of required reporting and governance.
  • Keeping up to date with regulatory developments and communications.
  • Updating and maintenance of all required Compliance team documentation.

Skills, Experience, and Education:
  • 10+ years of relevant experience
  • Significant experience of US (re)insurance broking is required
  • An understanding of the London Market would also be beneficial
  • Experience of preparing and reporting at formal Governance Boards
  • Ability and willingness to multi-task effectively, efficiently and pro-actively to tight deadlines
  • Ability to work independently but collaboratively with a Team based in multiple jurisdictions
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
