Job description

About Primal Harvest
Primal Harvest is a fast-growing health and wellness supplement brand built to make wellness simpler, more trusted, and easier to act on. Our products combine nature, science, and expertise, with formulas designed to support well-being needs.
As a DTC brand with a strong subscription business and a growing marketplace presence, Primal Harvest is entering its next stage of growth. This is an opportunity to help shape how the brand shows up, builds trust, and connects with customers across every touchpoint.
About the Role
The Creative Director is the steward for how Primal Harvest shows up in the world, helping shape and evolve the brand across every customer touchpoint. This role sits in the Brand function and leads the creative team across copy, design, video, and production.
This individual will work closely with the CEO to refine the brand strategy and translate this into creative work which drives both marketing and brand performance goals. This role is accountable for ensuring consistency, quality, and market differentiation across the full spectrum of creative assets including ecomm, ads, social, and packaging.
This role involves both visionary and executional components, requiring someone that can generate a distinctive creative identity, operate with a commercial performance branding mindset, and build high performing teams that leverage both traditional and innovative AI workflows. This hand-on creative roll will require someone who can set the bar, build the system, drive the work, deliver output themselves, and collaborate effectively with a performance marketing team.
This role reports to the CEO (former Bain & Company and O Positiv Health). This role will work closely with the VP of Marketing and will be excited not only by exceptional creative execution, but by helping shape the long-term evolution of the brand.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Own Primal Harvest's creative expression across consumer-facing brand touchpoints.
  • Translate brand strategy into clear creative platforms, campaigns, content systems, and channel-specific executions.
  • Build and maintain a consistent visual and verbal brand system across all major customer touchpoints.
  • Lead creative development for performance marketing assets, including paid social, search landing pages, product education, trust-building assets, and retention creative.
  • Direct photography, video, motion, design, copy, and production work across internal and external teams.
  • Develop creative systems for Amazon and marketplace content, including product imagery, A+ content, Brand Store, product education, and trust signals.
  • Lead the creative production process from brief to concept to execution to delivery.
  • Establish creative standards, workflows, review processes, and quality controls so work moves quickly without sacrificing brand quality.
  • Use performance data, customer insights, and channel feedback to improve creative effectiveness over time.
  • Manage creative timelines, budgets, and asset delivery across competing priorities.
  • Leverage the latest AI tools, capabilities, and workflows to produce an even higher quality and volume of creative output in a more cost-effective way than ever before.
  • Partner with executive leadership to influence how the brand evolves as the business scales.
  • Help evolve Primal Harvest's brand, ensuring creative decisions reinforce a differentiated and enduring market position.

Requirements
What You Bring
  • 8+ years of creative experience, ideally across CPG, wellness, supplements, health, beauty, performance, lifestyle, eCommerce, or digitally native consumer brands.
  • A strong portfolio showing brand systems, campaign concepts, performance creative, digital content, packaging, product storytelling, and channel-specific execution.
  • Strong art direction and design judgment across photography, video, motion, typography, layout, and visual systems.
  • Experience creating assets for DTC, Amazon, paid social, email, landing pages, PDPs, organic social, and marketplace environments.
  • Demonstrated experience helping build, reposition, or meaningfully scale a consumer brand-not simply maintaining an established one.
  • Commercial fluency: you understand that creative must build brand trust, improve conversion, support acquisition, and strengthen retention.
  • Ability to operate in a lean, fast-moving environment with limited resources and high expectations.
  • Comfort partnering with cross-functional teams and executive stakeholders.
  • High standards and a bias toward action.
  • A clear point of view on what great creative looks like for a modern wellness brand.

What Great Looks Like
  • You make the Primal Harvest brand feel consistent, credible, modern, and emotionally clear across every channel.
  • You build creative that performs on a landing page, holds up on Amazon, strengthens email and paid media, and still feels unmistakably on-brand.
  • You raise the creative quality and volume bars without slowing the business down.
  • You understand how to balance brand consistency with channel-specific performance needs.
  • You turn business priorities into creative work that customers can understand and trust.
  • You bring solutions early, communicate risks clearly, and own outcomes end-to-end.

Benefits
At Primal, you'll be part of a fast-growing health and wellness brand where your work truly makes an impact. Join us in our mission to educate, inspire, and empower people to take charge of their health and well-being. By contributing to our dynamic team, you'll play a vital role in shaping a healthier future. Plus, we offer a range of incredible US benefits and perks, including:

  • Short-term and Long-term disability

  • ClassPass membership
  • Flexible working options
  • Team Events
  • Product Discounts
