Responsibilities & Qualifications

The Vice President, Project Engineering & Maintenance provides strategic leadership for various projects, manufacturing equipment and rebuild, and technical operations to ensure safety, efficiency, and compliance. This position will oversee preventative maintenance, manage capital expenditure projects, lead technical teams, and manage departmental budgets to support operational goals. This role will also develop and oversee robust project management processes and delivery timelines, ensuring that the project/milestones/goals are met. 

The VP, Project Engineering & Maintenance provides support to the field by:

  • Leading Project Engineers to execute ImageFIRST's capital plan
  • Managing capital projects: driving projects and metrics
  • Building a comprehensive Maintenance Program to include scope, KPI's, timelines, etc.
  • Oversee, execute, and drive rebuilding of equipment to achieve company goals
  • Negotiating vendor and contractor pricing
  • Implementing best practice engineering methods
  • Providing technical guidance to engineering team and top management
  • Leads engineering and maintenance teams, focusing on performance management, training, and building a safe, collaborative environment.
  • Identifying and navigating organizational changes

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

VP, Engineering & Maintenance must have excellent multi-disciplinary engineering skills and have exceptional leadership, communication, and project management skills.

  • This position requires a self-starting, motivated person who possesses strong organizational skills, can work well independently, and has strong interpersonal skills for working with associates and leadership of ImageFIRST as well as vendor and contractor partners.
  • An entrepreneurial/business savvy mindset is essential

REQUIREMENTS:

  • BS in Engineering (mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering from an accredited college or university)
  • MBA preferred
  • 8+ years of progressive leadership experience in Engineering
  • Experience must include project management (projects greater than $500,000 in scope)
  • Lean Six Sigma certification is a plus
