Vice President of Sales

Location: New York (Hybrid)

We are seeking a Vice President of Sales with a strong manufacturing background and a proven ability to grow revenue by selling manufactured products into and through multiple sales channels.

This executive will lead the commercial organization with responsibility for profitable growth, strategic account development, distributor relationships, sales execution, and team performance. The ideal candidate understands how to balance market growth with pricing discipline, margin expectations, production realities, lead times, and cross-functional coordination within a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead all sales functions, including inside sales, outside sales, key accounts, and channel development.

  • Develop and execute a sales strategy that drives profitable revenue growth across distributor, OEM, and project channels.

  • Manage and strengthen distributor relationships while expanding market penetration for manufactured products.

  • Partner closely with operations, customer service, and executive leadership to align customer commitments with production capacity, lead times, and service expectations.

  • Establish forecasting discipline, pipeline visibility, and CRM accountability across the sales organization.

  • Drive pricing discipline, margin improvement, and sales mix optimization.

  • Coach, develop, and hold accountable a geographically distributed sales team.

  • Identify growth opportunities within existing accounts, new markets, and target channel relationships.

Qualifications
  • 5+ years of progressive sales leadership experience in industrial or manufacturing environments.

  • Required: Experience working for a manufacturer selling products through multiple sales channels.

  • Strong preference for experience in wire & cable, electrical products, industrial products, engineered products, or specification-driven products.

  • Demonstrated success driving profitable revenue growth, not just increasing sales volume.

  • Strong understanding of pricing strategies, gross margins, forecasting, production lead times, and manufacturing operations.

  • Proven ability to lead, develop, and hold accountable a high-performing sales organization.

  • Experience balancing distributor relationships with direct, OEM, project-based, or specification-driven sales is highly preferred.

  • Candidates whose experience is primarily in distribution without significant manufacturing sales leadership experience are unlikely to be a fit.
