About the Client:

A high-velocity, pan-European FinTech scale-up delivering embedded banking API solutions and real-time transaction reconciliation software to digital-first enterprises.

The Role:

The VP of Engineering will take operational command of the software engineering division, driving execution, delivery predictability, and organizational structure. You will manage several cross-functional engineering squads, working closely with Product Management to turn the corporate roadmap into elegant, functional code.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Scale the engineering department by implementing effective hiring, onboarding, and retention frameworks for top developer talent.
  • Optimize software delivery lifecycles, ensuring high velocity without compromising on code quality, security, or stability.
  • Drive technical excellence by establishing rigorous testing, code review, and architectural alignment practices across all squads.
  • Manage the engineering budget, allocating resource spend strategically between feature development and architectural maintenance.
Candidate Requirements:
  • 6+ years of engineering leadership experience, managing multiple teams through Engineering Managers and Tech Leads.
  • Strong background in high-transaction, low-latency software environments, preferably within FinTech, PayTech, or web-scale SaaS platforms.
