Poste : Vice-président service client

Division : Groupe Amiel

Lieu : Laval

Horaire : Temps plein (37.5 heures)

1) l’expérience client — un score de note attribué par nos clients parmi les meilleurs de l’industrie, la mesure principale du rôle ;

2) la rentabilité — la responsabilité du P&L de l’après-vente et son développement en contributeur à la marge ;

Position : Vice President, Customer Service

Division : Groupe Amiel

Location : Laval

Schedule : Full time (37.5 hours)

Start date : As soon as possible

Main responsibilities

In the appliance industry, competitors offer comparable products at comparable prices; after-sales service is the most durable point of differentiation. Groupe Amiel is creating a Vice-President, Customer Care to own the post-delivery experience end to end — supporting and holding all of our sales channels (retail, e-commerce, wholesale and commercial, as well as a national service and repair network) to a single standard: industry-best customer experience across every channel, brand, and customer type.

The mandate is also brand-building. The Aviva private-label brand carries international ambitions, and this executive will design the service model that makes it credible at scale. Service here is not a support function; it is integral to the brand.

This is a build-and-lead role. The successful candidate inherits a strong foundation and an evolving structure, and is expected to strengthen today’s experience, anticipate problems before they surface, and scale the function with the business. It is a hands-on, field-present position — at service centres, dealer floors, builder sites, and major escalations. Managing from a distance is not the model.

Key Responsibilities

Performance is measured against three outcomes:

  1. customer experience — an industry-best customer review score, the primary measure of the role;
  2. profitability — ownership of the after-sales P&L and its development into a margin contributor;
  3. continuous improvement — a technology and process roadmap with root-cause discipline that prevents recurring failures.

Concretely: customer review scores, dealer and builder satisfaction, first-call resolution, P&L discipline, and reduced escalations.

The role leads a multi-branch organization — customer care, technical and field service, and the external partner network — and governs all service centres and the authorized technician network across Canada. It designs and refines the service model behind Aviva’s growth from a Quebec private-label brand to one with international reach, and manages a multi-brand portfolio in which OEM partners — on both the Distinctive and Corbeil sides — bring distinct warranty structures, parts networks, and service requirements.

It differentiates dealer, builder, and wholesale service through distinct service-level agreements; owns warranty, parts, and the after-sales P&L with end-to-end discipline; grows the function through build-versus-partner decisions on field capacity and by developing after-sales into a business contributor (extended warranties, maintenance contracts, a formalized Distinctive premium tier).

Required Skills and Experience

  • After-sales and field-service leadership: 10–15 years in service operations, after-sales, or field-service leadership in durable goods, appliances, HVAC, or an adjacent industry, including exposure to international brand or supply-chain environments.
  • Field and service-centre network: direct ownership — dispatch, quality management, and partner governance.
  • Multi-brand OEM fluency: warranty structures, parts networks, and service standards across partners, on both the Corbeil and Distinctive sides.
  • Service-model design at scale: for a proprietary or private-label brand with international ambition.
  • B2B and B2C experience: channel accounts (dealers, distributors, builders) and end consumers concurrently.
  • Measurable results: a record of improving customer-satisfaction metrics, not merely maintaining them.
  • P&L ownership: including warranty cost recovery and extended-service revenue.
  • Leadership at scale: multi-location teams.
  • Decisive accountability: sound, timely decisions on people, structure, partners, and investment.
  • Leadership profile: field presence, a builder’s instinct, commercial judgment, and composure under ambiguity.
