A veterinary technician instructor teaches veterinary technology skills to students. In this career, you also coordinate and supervise the clinical portion of the veterinary technician program. Your responsibilities include writing lesson plans, giving lectures, and assessing student progress. You teach students how to treat and care for an injured animal and provide the necessary education for students to earn their veterinary technician license. Other duties include advocating for the veterinary technician program at your school, planning the departmental budget, and working with other clinical faculty. You maintain clinical records for each student and advise them as they progress academically.
