Job description

Are you a Registered Veterinary Technician looking for a position where you can teach the next generation of veterinary technicians? Do you want a schedule where you work 10 to 11 weeks and then have 2 to 3 weeks off?

If so, Bel-Rea Institute of Animal Technology (Bel-Rea) may be the place for you!

Duties May Include:

  • Teach assigned hours in accordance with the school schedule
  • Serve as a second lab instructor based on student enrollment needs
  • Assist with off-campus labs (vaccination clinics, equine labs, etc.)
  • Be willing to substitute teach when a faculty member is absent
  • Follow course objectives as defined and approved by the State of Colorado
  • Ensure AVMA Committee on Veterinary Technician Education and Activities (CVTEA) essential tasks are taught and properly documented in the online competency checklist program (Veterinary Technology Accreditation Manager)
  • Participate in in-service training and continuing education to maintain RVT certification
  • Perform other duties as assigned


Qualifications

  • Must be a current Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT)
  • Minimum of four years of post-graduation experience in the field
