Job Description
$250 SIGN ON BONUS FOR NEW HIRES!
The Utility Porter is responsible for the overall cleaning, sanitation and daily upkeep of the Casino in order to provide the best guest experience.
The Utility Porter:
  • Provide extraordinary guest service, positively effects interactions with internal/external guests, resiliency to deal with difficult guests in all types of business condition and the agility to work harmoniously with co-workers.
  • Adhere to all regulations established by the Indiana Gaming Commission, United States Coast Guard and other applicable agencies pertaining to riverboat gaming and vessel operations.
  • Adhere to the policies and procedures established by Belterra Casino Resort & Spa.
  • Perform tasks to maintain the daily appearance of the casino such as:
    • Clean restrooms. mirrors, sinks, counter tops, and toilets.
    • Restock- soap, paper towels, disposable toilet seat covers, and toilet paper dispensers.
    • Maintain cleanliness of slot machines- pick up trash, empty ash trays, wipe down machines, chairs and surrounding areas.
    • Vacuum and deep clean casino floor and all entryways.
  • Respond to reasonable guest requests or place guest in contact with the appropriate person for assistance.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Prior janitorial experience preferred.
  • Must have a strong work ethic and time management skills.
  • Must be detail oriented.
  • Individual who enjoys being around people and takes pride in a clean environment.
  • Ability to meet the expected performance standards for each task assigned.
  • Ability to work flexible shifts and days of the week including holidays.
  • Ability to speak effectively with guest and/or team members.
  • Ability to work in an environment that is subject to varying levels of noise, cold, heat, humidity, vibration, crowds, and smoke.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
