What you'll be doing...
Design and develop well-architected and scalable end to end applications and development platform for troubleshooting billing related applications. Transform legacy billing application to a cloud-based billing platform. Work on requirements, provide design, and deliver solutions meeting the requirements with operational efficiencies to support the new Billing platform. Design and document business and technical specifications for the billing systems and its interfaces for both upstream and downstream applications that include batch and online interactions. Enable platform migration to a public cloud Amazon Web Service ensuring Verizon security standards. Deliver new pricing structures and plans for Consumer and B2B customers. Support growth of Wireline and Wireless services and 5G. Provide real-time bill generation. Contribute to production defects and security issues fixes and design of high throughput applications. Migrate billing platform from mainframe-based to open-systems based solution to reduce MIPS and computing cost. Develop and build enterprise components that can be used by multiple applications and systems. Design and use horizontally scalable User Interface layer component systems in React. Work with Business and IT partners in identifying technical improvements and take the initiative to propose possible technical solutions.
What we're looking for...
Bachelor's or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field, and 4 years of experience in the job offered or as a Software Developer, Software Engineer, or in a related/similar position. Experience therein to include: 4 years in the following: software development; Java; Cassandra; K2View Fabric/Broadway; Mainframe Technologies; Billing products including Arbor, Netcracker, AMDOCs or related billing systems; and application modernization. Hybrid role, ability to work from home.

Where you'll be working
In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes working from home and a minimum of three days per week in the office, which will be set by your manager. Employees are responsible for maintaining compliance with hybrid work policies.
