Job description

Vendor Account Manager
Location: Sacramento, CA (95826)
Work Model: Hybrid (2 days/week in office)

About the Role

We’re looking for a relationship-driven and analytical Vendor Account Manager to support and grow a portfolio of vendor partners in a fast-paced eCommerce environment.

In this role, you’ll own day-to-day account performance, identify growth opportunities, and collaborate cross-functionally to improve profitability, merchandising, and overall brand presence.

This is a great opportunity for someone early in their account management career who enjoys working with data, building relationships, and driving measurable business results.

What You’ll Do:
  • Manage Vendor Relationships: Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned vendors, building strong partnerships and ensuring alignment on goals and performance
  • Drive Account Performance: Monitor KPIs, analyze trends, and recommend strategies to improve sales, profitability, and operational efficiency
  • Optimize eCommerce Execution: Ensure accurate and compelling product listings, pricing, inventory, and brand presentation across platforms
  • Identify Growth Opportunities: Spot gaps and opportunities in product assortment, pricing, and promotions to expand vendor performance
  • Problem Solve Proactively: Address account issues quickly and collaborate with internal teams (marketing, merchandising, operations) to resolve them
  • Lead Projects amp; Initiatives: Support vendor onboarding, site audits, competitive analysis, and cross-functional projects from start to finish
  • Leverage Data amp; Reporting: Use reporting tools and spreadsheets to track performance, measure success, and inform decisions
What We’re Looking For:
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Analytical mindset with attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Comfort working cross-functionally with teams like marketing, finance, and merchandising
  • Negotiation or influencing experience is a plus
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Merchandising, or related field (or equivalent experience) preferred
  • 1–3 years of experience in eCommerce, retail, merchandising, buying, or account management
  • Experience working with data, reporting, or product information
  • Familiarity with eCommerce fundamentals (pricing, promotions, merchandising, conversion optimization)
  • Experience with tools like Excel, PowerBI, Google Analytics, or PIM systems is a plus
  • Ability to travel and work weekends/holidays as needed
Compensation amp; Benefits:
  • Salary: $75,000 – $86,000 annually
