Location: Columbus, OH

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year

Vector is seeking an experienced?Traffic Control General Foreman?in Columbus, OH area who is looking for a long-term career, not just a job. This role involves leading traffic control crews, ensuring work zone compliance, and maintaining the highest safety standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage up to 24 traffic control crews.
  • Conduct daily safety meetings and enforce all safety protocols.
  • Implement Traffic Control Plans (TCPs) that comply with DOT requirements.
  • Ability to set up and maintain safe construction work zones.?(This is not a normal daily task, but may be required in a pinch)
  • Operate company vehicles and hand tools.
  • Perform routine equipment inspections and maintenance.
  • Maintain accurate daily logs and documentation.
  • Communicate project status and issues clearly with the team.
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Travel regularly to job sites throughout the region.

Qualifications:

  • 3 years of leadership experience in traffic control (TCS certification required).
  • Strong customer service skills and ability to communicate effectively with internal teams and external partners.
  • Excellent organizational and scheduling abilities to manage crews and resources efficiently.
  • Solid technical acumen, including the ability to interpret traffic control plans and ensure compliance.
  • Problem-solving mindset and ability to think independently.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Physically able to work in all weather conditions and stand for extended periods.
  • Available for 100% travel, early mornings (starting as early as 6:00 AM), overtime, nights, and weekends as required.
