Description
Tharros supports HQ ACC Flight Operations Division (A3T) with combat readiness and training of the Combat Air Forces. Support includes technical and subject matter expertise to develop and oversee policy for ACC flight operations, aircrew flying training, mission operations, and formal training programs. As part of this mission, we have a key opportunity for a Combat Air Force Developmental Team Advisor.
In this role, you will advise the A3 and A3 deputy directors on management, vectoring, and management of all CAF officers to facilitate meaningful career progression for all CAF officers, maximizes potential by developing professional warfighter and leadership skills, and manages developmental experiences to maximize future senior leader opportunity and create a pool of qualified leaders to fill key Air Force and joint positions. Scope is officers from O-1 thru O-6. Additional responsibilities include:
  • Provide management of all CAF DT data: DE records, DT board results, data transformation pipelines, and permissions.
  • Conduct and provide to CAF DT Chair analysis on DT processes, records, and any request for analysis from DT Chair or DT community leads.
  • Prepare and compile all necessary materials for the DT to allow the DT Chair and community leads to vector and adjust command boards, IDE/SDE activation, and outplacement vectors.
  • Provide analysis and advice on CAF DE Program Vectors, Outplacement, and Seat Management, CAF Squadron Command Candidate Board Nomination and Results Personnel Services Delivery Memorandums (PSDM), Barrier Analysis Working Group (BAWG) Actions.
  • Maintain CAF DT Talent Management Dashboard/Analytics/Data Management.
  • Plan and coordinate logistics for all DT events: Spring DT, OG Records Review, Fall DT.
  • Provide oversight and management on Boards/Records Scoring Administration
  • Serve as a coordinator between A1 and AFPC to coordinate: IDE/SDE declinations, deferments, vectors and revectors and alternate managements; squadron commander DT in the creation, routing, and publishing of PSDM; vectoring for primary student selection and the squadron command candidate vectoring, Officer Grade (OG) Records Review; and DE/SDE outplacement and graduating squadron commander outplacement.
  • Prepare recommendations and correspondence for CAF DT Chair and wing leadership on decisions of all matters within CAF DT.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 3 years' experience with USAF Force Development processes (Developmental Education, Develop-to-Requirements, Sq/CC Candidate Boards, Vectoring/Feedback)
  • 5-7 years' experience handling, cleaning, transforming, etc. large data sets (e.g., historical personnel data set has 176M rows)
  • High proficiency with statistical methods
  • 3-5 years' experience with military personnel (MilPDS) and manpower (MPES) data attributes
  • 3-5 years' experience in AF analysis is highly desired
  • High proficiency with the Microsoft 365 Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Power Automate, Power Apps, Power Query, etc.)
  • Excellent verbal and written skills across all organizational levels
  • Secret Clearance
