▶ Position Summary
The Varicent Operations Support Specialist is responsible for delivering on-site operational support for the client's incentive compensation management system, Varicent. This role works directly with business users at the field support location, ensuring timely issue resolution, accurate data processing, and effective communication across business teams, internal IT, and external technology partners. The specialist will manage data flows from the client's internal DataHub platform, utilize Alteryx for data transformation, and collaborate with Varicent’s technical vendor (Argano) to support system enhancements, defect resolution, and overall operational stability.
On-site role located in Plano, TX, working directly with business teams.
Monthly incentive cycle may require flexible working hours during peak periods.
▶ Key Responsibilities
• Provide daily on-site support to business users, addressing inquiries and resolving Varicent-related operational issues.
• Serve as the primary communication channel between business stakeholders and IT teams.
• Collect, analyze, and document business requirements for system improvements or process changes.
• Support user communication, training, and guidance during monthly incentive cycles or system updates.
• Execute operational tasks within Varicent, including data loads, calculation cycles, workflow monitoring, send workflow acknowledgements and validation activities.
• Understand Varicent model structures, calculation logic, and data flows to support troubleshooting and operational continuity.
• Identify system defects, perform root cause analysis, and coordinate resolution with Argano and internal technical teams.
• Conduct functional testing for new features, enhancements, and bug fixes.
• Process and validate data received from the client's internal DataHub platform.
• Develop and maintain Alteryx workflows for data cleansing, transformation, and automation.
• Ensure data accuracy and completeness for Varicent ingestion and incentive calculation.
• Investigate data discrepancies and collaborate with data engineering teams to resolve upstream issues.
• Act as the primary liaison with Varicent’s technical partner, Argano, for issue resolution and system improvements.
• Work closely with internal IT, data engineering, and business operations teams to maintain system reliability.
• Create and maintain documentation for operational procedures, data flows, and troubleshooting guidelines.

• Minimum 3 years of experience in system operations, data processing, business support, or related fields.

• Understanding of enterprise data pipelines and platforms (DataHub or equivalent).
