The Senior Consultant, Vision/Vantagepoint, is responsible for partnering with clients to deliver a range of services - including Vision/Vantagepoint system implementations, consultative training, troubleshooting, and guidance on best practices to optimize system performance. This role requires the ability to evaluate client needs and present multiple tailored solutions. The Senior Consultant also oversees client and project management activities including budget monitoring, billing, collections, and identifying opportunities for additional services.
Senior Consultants at Stambaugh Ness specialize in one of three Vantagepoint module tracks - Finance, CRM, or Resource Planning/Project Management - while maintaining cross-functional awareness across the other modules. This role requires a Vantagepoint certification in the primary specialization and a demonstrated ability to collaborate with colleagues across disciplines to deliver seamless, high-quality client outcomes. Advancement to the Principal Consultant level is available based on skillset and performance.
What you'll do at SN:
Client Consulting & Delivery
  • Lead Deltek Vision/Vantagepoint implementation and optimization projects within your area of specialization.
  • Assess client needs and recommend tailored solutions that improve business processes and system performance.
  • Deliver consultative training and best-practice guidance to client teams.
  • Troubleshoot complex system issues and provide effective resolutions.
  • Develop client-ready deliverables, recommendations, and implementation plans.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships across all organizational levels, including executive leadership.

Project & Client Management
  • Manage project scope, timelines, budgets, and deliverables.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation and records.
  • Monitor project billing, collections, and client satisfaction.
  • Identify out-of-scope requests and support change order development when appropriate.
  • Coordinate effectively with internal consulting, sales, and technical teams.

Business Development & Practice Growth
  • Identify opportunities to expand client engagements and introduce complementary services.
  • Support proposal development and sales efforts.
  • Contribute to webinars, thought leadership content, marketing materials, and client presentations.
  • Share industry expertise through knowledge-sharing initiatives and client education programs.

Leadership & Mentorship
  • Mentor and support consultants through coaching and best-practice guidance.
  • Promote collaboration and knowledge sharing across the consulting practice.
  • Help drive successful, high-quality project outcomes while maintaining strong client relationships.

What you may have done before:
  • Consulted on Deltek products for external clients
  • Consulted on Deltek products internally - typically in a Finance role

What it takes to be a Senior Finance Consultant:
  • 5+ years of experience using Deltek Vision/Vantagepoint
  • 5+ years of experience in Accounting/Finance, CRM, or Project Management/Resource Planning within an Architecture & Engineering (A&E) firm or related industry.
  • 2+ years of consulting experience.
  • Cross-functional knowledge of additional Vantagepoint modules.
  • Experience supporting system implementations, process improvement initiatives, and software training.
  • Deltek Vantagepoint Certification is a plus
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced consulting environment.
  • Experience working directly with clients and stakeholders across various organizational levels.

What's in it for you:
  • Health & Wellness Your Way: Choose from three medical plans designed to fit different needs and budgets.
  • Wellness Support: Access to Teladoc's zero-cost telehealth services and Husk Wellness for exclusive discounts on gym memberships, nutrition guidance, and mental health support
  • Time Off, When You Need It: Recharge with our flexible PTO policy and enjoy 10 paid holidays
  • Flexible Spending Options: Maximize your health and dependent care through employer-backed HSAs and FSAs
  • Peace of Mind: Your well-being is covered with employer-paid life, AD&D, and comprehensive short- and long-term disability
  • More Ways to Thrive: Tap into our Employee Assistance Program for support, plus access to InsurChoice for personal insurance options.

Salary: The salary range for this position is an estimate of $135,000 - $150,000. A final compensation offer within this range will be based on factors including an individual's skill sets, experience, knowledge, licensure and certifications, and geography.
