Job description

This Hybrid Role (in office Tues-Wed-Thurs) is based in Charlotte, NC, Dallas, TX, Scottsdale, AZ, or Malvern, PA (HQ)
Core Responsibilities
  • Partner with business leaders and stakeholders to understand strategic objectives, business challenges, reporting needs, and analytical opportunities.
  • Translate complex business questions into structured analytical approaches and lead projects from intake through delivery.
  • Serve as an analytics subject matter expert on cross-functional initiatives and provide guidance to peers on analytical methods and best practices.
  • Acquire, validate, and analyze structured and unstructured data from multiple sources to ensure quality, accuracy, and reliability.
  • Perform advanced analyses to identify trends, risks, opportunities, and actionable insights that support strategic decision-making.
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance recurring executive reporting, dashboards, and performance metrics for Wealth Management leadership.
  • Create and deliver executive-level presentations, visualizations, and data stories that translate findings into clear business recommendations.
  • Support monthly leadership reporting processes and respond to ad hoc requests related to executive presentations, speaking engagements, and strategic initiatives.
  • Contribute to the design, implementation, and evolution of self-service analytics solutions that improve scalability and accessibility of insights across the business.
  • Validate analytical methodologies and outputs while ensuring consistency, transparency, and adherence to data governance standards.
  • Mentor and coach fellow analysts, actively contributing to Vanguard's analytics community through knowledge sharing, training, and participation in analytics forums and seminars.
  • Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience:
  • Minimum of five years of related experience in data analytics, business intelligence, reporting, data science, consulting, or a related analytical field.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of training and experience required.
  • Graduate degree preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience leading complex analytical projects and delivering actionable recommendations to business stakeholders.
  • Experience developing executive-facing reporting, dashboards, scorecards, and presentations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to synthesize complex information and communicate insights effectively.
  • Proficiency with analytics, visualization, and reporting tools such as SQL, Tableau, Power BI, Alteryx, Python, R, Excel, or similar technologies.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with experience presenting findings to senior leaders.
  • Experience supporting executive leadership teams, wealth management organizations, financial services businesses, or large-scale reporting environments is preferred.
  • Exposure to self-service analytics, automation, and emerging AI-enabled analytics capabilities is preferred.
  • Supports highly visible executive reporting and analytics for Wealth Management leadership and the Office of the Chief of Staff.
  • Requires sound judgment, discretion, and professionalism when handling sensitive business information.
  • May require flexibility to support time-sensitive executive deliverables, leadership presentations, and recurring monthly reporting cycles.
  • Hybrid work arrangement with required in-office presence Tuesday through Thursday
