The Value Stream Improvement Champion for Cytiva is responsible for:
  • Assisting the Belts Value Stream Leader in driving improvements in line with defined KPI targets across Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory & Productivity/Cost.
  • Focusing on high product quality by adhering to internal procedures, maintaining full product traceability, and ensuring compliance with the quality management system.
  • Provide oversight of the mix room and belts hourly support team functions to manage performance; plan succession; and effectively communicate and execute value stream strategy.
  • This position reports to the site's Belts Value Stream Leader, Sr. Manager and is located in Pensacola, FL as an on-site role.

What you will do:
  • Lead and execute Value Stream and plant-wide improvement initiatives by identifying operational gaps, prioritizing opportunities, and securing resources to drive impactful results.
  • Plan and facilitate kaizen events, including team selection, agenda development, hands-on training, rapid implementation, and performance measurement.
  • Drive accountability and operational excellence through effective use of Daily Management, Hourly Scorecards, KPIs, and Standard Work.
  • Collaborate with Value Stream leadership to drive root-cause elimination, maintain improvement sustainability, and support overall strategic direction.
  • Oversee daily mix room operations and manage associated teams to ensure consistent safety, quality, and productivity.
  • Provide leadership to Belts hourly support teams-including Quality Specialists, Trainers, and DBS Specialists-to ensure high performance, clear expectations, and alignment with Value Stream priorities
  • Serve as backup to the Value Stream Manager, providing leadership continuity and operational oversight as needed.

Who you are:
  • A bachelor's or master's degree-preferably in Science, Engineering, or Supply Chain & Logistics-is preferred. Candidates with substantial manufacturing experience in a supervisor or operations lead capacity may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Have at least 3 years of experience in Manufacturing Operations or Engineering.
  • Possesses leadership experience, with leadership roles in Operations.
  • Works well in fast-paced environments, with a strong sense of urgency and the ability to adapt to changes in responsibilities based on business needs.
  • Proven ability to lead, coach, and mentor teams; manage performance; plan succession; and effectively communicate at all organizational levels, both written and verbal.
  • Hands-on Gemba experience with driving improvement efforts either with the use of lean tools, or problem-solving methodology. (Daily Management, Lean Conversion, Standard Work, 5S, Value Stream Mapping, etc.)

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements: if applicable for role
  • Ability to travel 10% of the time to other Cytiva manufacturing locations in the US and Worldwide, as required.
  • Ability to access gauges and equipment 5-6 feet off the ground, lift and move up to 50 lb.
  • Wear all necessary PPE which could include respirator, air hood, hearing protection, etc.
