Valley Produce, A FreshEdge LLC company, is hiring Delivery Drivers in Powell, TN.

Founded in the early 1980s, Valley distributes fresh produce and specialty products to foodservice customers from its facility near Knoxville, Tennessee.

Valley Produce is built on a strong family-owned culture with second-generation family members actively involved in the business today.

Compensation:

  • Average Annual Earnings: $41,600 - $57,200+
    • Average weekly earnings: $800 - $1,100
    • Paid an hourly rate starting at $20.00/hour with 40-50 hours per week
  • Weekly direct deposit

Home Time, Route & Schedule:

  • Home Time: Home Daily
  • Schedule: Monday - Saturday; 6-day workweek
    • Off Sunday
  • Shift: Start time between 4:00 am – 5:30 am with runs between 8 - 10 hours long
  • Route: Drivers will drive within a 150-mile radius of Powell, TN
    • Must be flexible with route changes
    • 10 - 20 stops per day
  • Level of Touch: Touch Freight
    • Drivers will use dolly and hand jack

Equipment:

  • Straight Truck
    • All trucks are late models
  • Transmission: Automatic

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Drivers must have an Operators
    • Drivers with a CDL C or B license are still encouraged to express interest - our team has opportunities that we would love to discuss with you!
  • Drivers will preferably have 1-year of truck driving experience though not required
    • New grads are encouraged to apply
  • Drivers can only have 1 moving violation in the last year
  • No Preventable accident in the last 5 years
  • NO DUI/DWI within the last 5 years
  • Must meet Department of Transportation (DOT) testing and physical requirements and be knowledgeable of DOT regulations
  • Must be able to pass a required pre-employment drug screen
  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50lbs.
  • Hiring Radius: Drivers must live within 40 miles of Powell, TN or be willing to relocate for this position

Responsibilities:

  • Good attendance and punctuality
  • Pre and post trip inspection of vehicle
  • Make customer deliveries according to route plan
  • Provide excellent customer service
  • Entering trip data into on-board computer
  • Comply with FMCSA regulations
  • Review paperwork for accuracy, checking orders for correct number of pallet/cases
  • Must be able to operate vehicle safely within company guidelines minimizing accidents, traffic violations and complaints from the public
