Title: Product Validation Analyst

Location: Beaverton, OR (in-person required)

Pay Range: $50-54/hr on W2

Duration: 12 months

Job description:

What You Will Work On

โ€ข Plan, recruit, schedule and execute frequent, hands-on athlete testing of experimental athlete

systems for walking, running, and other real-world scenarios

โ€ข Conduct handsโ€‘on testing with athletes and actively gather qualitative feedback, while working

effectively with earlyโ€‘stage systems that may evolve or behave inconsistently

โ€ข Support both continuous, real-world testing and structured, protocol-driven validation to

ensure full requirements coverage

โ€ข Collect, analyze, and categorize system and usage data to identify trends, regressions, and

anomalies

โ€ข Capture and document unexpected or undesirable behaviors with clear steps to reproduce and

supporting data

โ€ข Perform issue triaging and initial root cause investigation to help direct issues to the appropriate

engineering subsystem team

โ€ข Perform regression testing across releases to ensure consistent function

โ€ข Leverage AI tools to support test execution, data analysis, and synthesis of complex system behavior into actionable insights

โ€ข Translate athlete feedback and qualitative perception into structured, comparable findings

โ€ข Manage multiple testing tracks in parallel, including ongoing athlete testing, structured protocol

validation, and timely analysis of incoming data

โ€ข Partner closely with engineering, research, and program teams to support release readiness

and quality gates

Who You Will Work With

Youโ€™ll collaborate with cross-functional partners including sports scientists, engineers, researchers,

QA, and program managers. Youโ€™ll work closely with teams responsible for system behavior, embedded

software, and athlete experience to ensure testing insights are clear, actionable, and trusted.

What You Bring

โ€ข Bachelorโ€™s degree or equivalent combination of education, experience, or training

โ€ข Experience with human subject testing, field testing, or real-world system validation

โ€ข Experience testing or debugging electromechanical, robotic, or software-driven systems

โ€ข Builder and maker mindset with the ability to define testing approaches, create structure from

ambiguity, and operate independently without step-by-step guidance

โ€ข Strong ability to observe, isolate, and describe unexpected system behavior

โ€ข Experience analyzing data using tools such as MATLAB or Python

โ€ข Experience with embedded sensors, mechatronics, or hardware-software integrated systems

Nice to Have

โ€ข Background in biomechanics, human movement, or applied mechanics

โ€ข Experience with embedded sensors, mechatronics, or hardware-software integrated systems

โ€ข Skilled at using LLMs and modern AI tools such as Cursor or similar to accelerate testing, analysis,

and technical workflows

โ€ข High attention to detail and comfort executing repeatable test protocols

โ€ข Strong technical intuition and curiosity about system behavior

โ€ข Ability to work in fast-paced, iterative environments with frequent releases

โ€ข Team-first mindset with a bias toward clarity and rigor
