UW Medical Center - Montlake has an outstanding opportunity for a Full Time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Radiology team.
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide practical nursing care across radiology services (IR/NVIR, CT, MRI) within scope of practice, supporting safe, efficient patient flow and high-quality care delivery.

  • Deliver direct patient care under RN direction, including medication administration, injections, phlebotomy, peripheral IV placement, and point-of-care testing
  • Support pre- and post-procedure workflows: patient intake, education, preparation, and discharge instructions
  • Room patients, obtain and document vital signs, complete medication reconciliation, and ensure readiness for procedures
  • Assist with therapeutic and diagnostic procedures, maintaining sterile technique and anticipating provider needs
  • Monitor patients and promptly report changes in condition, abnormal findings, or concerns to RN/provider

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Legal Requirement

Current license to practice as a practical nurse in the State of Washington.

Equivalent education and/or experience may substitute for minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license, certification, and/or registration.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred; required within 3 months of hire
  • Experience in procedural, ambulatory, or acute care setting preferred
