Expected pay for this position is $20.21 - $23.77/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity. This is an Hourly position.
Overview
POSITION SUMMARY: The Security Officer functions in an unarmed security post for OSF HealthCare campuses. Security officers are responsible for the safety and security within OSF HealthCare campuses by conducting unarmed patrol, monitoring alarm systems, assisting in investigations, and deterring criminal activity and misconduct.
Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
  • High School/GED
Other Licenses/Certifications:
  • Current State Drivers License
  • BLS (American Heart Association) CPR certification within 90 days of hire.
  • International Association for Healthcare Safety and Security Certified Healthcare Security Officer (CHSO) within 1 year of hire.
  • National Incident Management System (NIMS) within 1 year of hire.
  • LCMMC: Active FOID Card
Experience:
  • Service with a police department or active military, military reserves or National Guard, and/or 1 year security experience or customer service.
Other skills/knowledge:
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
  • Associate's Degree
Experience:
  • Service with a police department or active military, military reserves or National Guard, and/or 3 years security experience.
  • International Association for Healthcare Safety and Security Certified Healthcare Security Officer (CHSO) Advanced Certification.
