Position Specific Description
This position will be primarily responsible for supporting daily billing operations and resolving complex billing issues to ensure accurate customer billing and system functionality. Key Responsibilities:
  • Billing Operations Support: Plan and manage assigned billing activities; complete analysis and resolution tasks within established timeframes
  • Daily Coordination: Participate in team meetings and track work progress using tools such as JIRA, Qmetry, Teams, and Outlook while coordinating with IT, vendors, and cross-functional teams
  • Technical Analysis: Provide functional expertise on billing systems to ensure timely and effective issue resolution within SAP and CIS environments
  • Problem-Solving: Apply analytical skills to decompose complex billing discrepancies into manageable components, utilizing Excel for data validation
  • Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for billing processes, system procedures, and operational workflows
  • AI & Data Enablement: Utilize AI-powered tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, data analysis tools) to support billing analysis, data validation, and issue troubleshooting
  • AI Integration & Collaboration: Collaborate with IT and cross-functional teams to incorporate AI-driven solutions into billing workflows and system enhancements

Job Duties & Responsibilities
  • Conducts analyses and prepares reports that provide operation and/or technical support to business operations
  • Conducts quantitative and qualitative research to support medium to large special projects
  • Assists with process design and modification for continuous business improvement
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Key Skillsets: Energy and Utility domain, SAP ISU with Utility billing experience (Meter to Cash process),
*Travel: willingness to travel extensively as client needs require.
Required Education & Work Authorization:
Education: Bachelor's degree required; MBA or master's strongly preferred.
Work Authorization: Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship now or in the future.
Salary & Compensation:
Salary: Applications will be accepted until June 26 th , 2026. The annual salary for this position is between $86,500.00 - $101,500.00 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
Incentives: Eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, subject to applicable plan terms.
