Entry-level and experienced positions NEEDED!
Water, Wastewater Collections & Natural Gas Positions Available
North Baldwin Utilities is seeking dependable, hardworking individuals to join our Underground Utilities team. We are hiring both entry-level candidates and experienced technicians with backgrounds in underground utilities, construction, or outdoor work using tools and equipment.
This position supports the installation, repair, and maintenance of underground natural gas, wastewater collection, and water distribution systems.
What You'll Do
Depending on experience level, responsibilities may include:
  • Installing, repairing, and maintaining underground natural gas, sewer, and water distribution systems
  • Operating tools and equipment related to excavation and utility work
  • Performing routine inspections and identifying system issues
  • Responding to service calls and emergency repairs (leaks, blockages, line issues)
  • Following all safety procedures and regulatory requirements
  • Assisting with documentation of installations, repairs, and inspections
  • Participating in an on-call rotation after training

Entry-level employees will receive hands-on training alongside experienced crew members. Experienced candidates may take on more independent responsibilities based on skill level.
Compensation & Schedule
  • Starting pay: $19 per hour (higher pay considered based on experience)
  • Overtime begins after 10 hours per day
  • Merit raises each spring
  • Cost of Living Adjustment (COLA) raises each fall
Work Schedule (4-Day Work Week)
  • Monday-Thursday
  • 6:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
  • 30-minute lunch
  • Three-day weekends every week
