Description:
The Utility Assistant is hospitable to all guests and team members, acts safely and responsibly, and is knowledgeable about Wintzell's and its menu. This FOH position reports to the restaurant's management team and helps to ensure an outstanding dining experience for guests by keeping all areas of the restaurant's interior clean, stocked, and organized; cleaning and sanitizing dining room tables and chairs; maintaining an adequate supply of glassware, utensils, and ice in service areas throughout shift; clearing, cleaning, and resetting tables to ensure they are ready for the next guest; setting up and breaking down dining room and service stations as directed; assisting in the prompt delivery and removal of food and beverage items; assisting in the warm and efficient greeting and seating of guests when they arrive.
Requirements:
The Utility Assistant should be eager to work efficiently and professionally in a team-oriented, high-volume, fast-paced, guest-centric environment. Previous restaurant experience is preferred. The Utility Assistant must
• engage in the creation and furtherance of a positively memorable dining experience, whenever necessary;
• maintain a constant state of urgency;
• maintain a clean, neat, and safe environment throughout the restaurant;
• meet Wintzell's uniform and grooming standards and maintain these standards throughout every shift;
• be able to pass all required tests and training requirements;
• be able to work a flexible schedule, including holidays, nights and weekends;
• possess and demonstrate excellent guest service and communication skills;
• address complaints and requests promptly in a courteous manner and notify a manager of any issues;
• check restrooms and hand washing stations every half hour for cleanliness and supplies;
• sort and roll silverware;
• perform sidework and other deep cleaning duties as assigned;
• be able to learn basic tasks and follow instructions;
• be able to stand and walk during an entire 8-hour shift;
• be able to lift and carry supplies and equipment up to 60 lbs., such as bus tubs and chairs;
• be able to bend, stoop, reach, wipe, lift and grab;
• willingly assist others without being asked;
• read, write, and communicate in English as it relates to the job and to safety regulations;
• meet any state, county or municipal regulation pertaining to health risks/concerns about food handling;
• meet the job's performance standards as directed by Fried Stewed Nude, Inc.
• adhere to the policies and procedures of Fried Stewed Nude, Inc.
• complete all other tasks and duties as assigned.
