Job Summary

The IT Operations PC Support Technician is responsible for providing technical support and assistance for computer hardware, software, network systems, and end-user technologies across the organization. This role ensures the reliability, security, and performance of IT infrastructure by troubleshooting technical issues, supporting workstation deployments, maintaining system documentation, and assisting users with technology-related needs. The position plays a key role in supporting daily business operations through effective technical support, system maintenance, and infrastructure management.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support for desktop computers, laptops, software applications, and network-related issues.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity problems for end users.
  • Install, configure, and deploy new computer systems, workstations, and peripheral devices.
  • Upgrade and maintain existing computer hardware and software systems.
  • Provide end-user training and technical guidance on software and technology tools.
  • Respond to and resolve IT support requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Maintain and support technical infrastructure across multiple business units and locations.
  • Assist with system upgrades, software installations, and technology implementations.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, user guides, system configurations, and network diagrams.
  • Monitor and maintain software licensing records and IT asset inventories.
  • Support backup and disaster recovery processes to ensure business continuity.
  • Provide on-call support for critical technical and infrastructure issues as required.

Minimum Requirements / Skills
  • Associate degree or technical diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge of computer hardware, software applications, operating systems, and networking concepts.
  • Experience troubleshooting desktop, laptop, printer, and peripheral device issues.
  • Understanding of LAN communications and technical infrastructure support.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to create and maintain technical documentation.
  • Experience supporting end users in a professional environment.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
