Job description

Title: UX Researcher – Customer Insights (Contract)

Pay Rate: $42 - $48/hr

Location: Onsite (Cupertino, CA)

Duration: 12-month assignment


Summary:

We are seeking a UX Researcher to support a customer insights team focused on delivering qualitative, user-centered insights that inform business and product decisions. In this role, you will contribute to research initiatives that capture user behaviors, feedback, and experiences, helping shape customer-facing programs and experiences.

You will work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, supporting research studies, usability testing, and insight generation. The ideal candidate is curious, detail-oriented, and passionate about understanding user behavior and translating insights into meaningful recommendations.


What You’ll Do:

· Support the planning and execution of qualitative research studies, including usability testing, user interviews, and contextual inquiries

· Analyze user behavior, open-ended feedback, and qualitative data to identify key themes and pain points

· Collaborate with team members to synthesize insights and uncover behavioral trends and user journeys

· Contribute to transforming research findings into clear, compelling narratives for stakeholders

· Assist in developing communications and presentations tailored to diverse audiences

· Support delivery of insights and recommendations through presentations, reports, and meetings

· Work across multiple projects and adapt to changing priorities


What You Bring:

· 2–4 years of experience in UX research, qualitative research, human-computer interaction, or related fields

· Strong foundation in qualitative research methods, including usability testing and user interviews

· Experience analyzing qualitative data and translating insights into actionable recommendations

· Ability to support research projects in fast-paced, ambiguous environments

· Strong organizational and time management skills

· Excellent communication and presentation skills


Bonus Points If You Have:

· Experience moderating research sessions (e.g., interviews, focus groups, usability tests)

· Familiarity with usability testing tools such as UserTesting, UserZoom, Figma, or similar platforms

· Experience working in retail, technology, or customer experience research

· Experience supporting global or multi-region research programs

· Proficiency in presentation tools such as Keynote
