Job description

About the Role
We are seeking a senior-level, hands-on Senior UX Researcher for a hybrid opportunity in Tucson, AZ. This position is focused entirely on user research, strategy, and human-machine interface (HMI) evaluationโ€”it is NOT a UI/Visual design role. The ideal consultant will have extensive experience studying user interactions with complex, physical-digital systems in corporate or B2B environments.

Core Responsibilities

  • Plan, scope, and execute end-to-end user research studies, including field observations, usability testing, and simulation-based research.
  • Analyze complex user workflows to deliver research synthesis and core artifacts (e.g., journey maps, experience maps, storyboards, and task/user flows).
  • Translate research insights into compelling data-driven stories for cross-functional stakeholders and leadership.
  • Evaluate ergonomics, human factors, and physical-digital system touchpoints to optimize the overall user experience.

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of dedicated UX Research experience (preferably within B2B or corporate settings).
  • B.S. or higher degree in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Human Factors, Psychology, or a related UX discipline.
  • Strong background evaluating physical-digital systems, human factors, ergonomics, or HMI.
  • A portfolio showcasing clear research artifacts, mental models, and synthesis methodologies.
  • Local candidates to Tucson, AZ are highly preferred. A valid LinkedIn profile matching the resume history is required for validation.
