Job description

## Technical Product Manager - User ExperienceApplylocations: Greater Seattle Areatime type: Full timeposted on: Posted Yesterdayjob requisition id: R69849Application close date:Applications will be accepted on an ongoing basis until the requisition is closed. At Blue Origin, we envision millions of people living and working in space for the benefit of Earth. We’re working to develop reusable, safe, and low-cost space vehicles and systems within a culture of safety, collaboration, and inclusion. Join our team of problem solvers as we add new chapters to the history of spaceflight! Blue Origin is pioneering the future of space-based communications with TeraWave, a revolutionary satellite communications network designed to deliver symmetrical data speeds of up to 6 Tbps anywhere on Earth. This multi-orbit constellation will consist of optically interconnected satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO) and medium Earth orbit (MEO), providing enterprise-grade connectivity for critical operations worldwide. At Blue Origin, we envision millions of people living and working in space for the benefit of Earth. We are working to make that future a reality by creating reusable launch vehicles and systems that are safe, low-cost, and serve as the foundation for a permanent human presence in space. Terawave is Blue Origin's commercial satellite communications network, a 6 Tbps multi-orbit constellation delivering enterprise-grade broadband to the most demanding customers on Earth. As Product Manager, User Experience, you will own the complete experience layer of TeraWave: from the first moment a customer engages with our commercial offer, through the self-service portal and network management interfaces they use every day, to every interaction with our customer service and support organization. This is not a role for a UX generalist with product instincts. It is a role for a technically fluent PM who can read a link budget, debate API design with a network engineer, and simultaneously map the emotional journey of a customer. You will be the single accountable owner of the question: does every touchpoint in the TeraWave customer relationship feel deliberate, responsive, and worthy of the network we are building?**Special Mentions*** Relocation provided* Travel expected up to 20% of the time* Interviews will include a technical assessment**Responsibilities include but are not limited to:*** Own the end-to-end customer experience roadmap for TeraWave: from commercial onboarding through daily network operations, service escalations, and renewal interactions.* Define the product strategy and requirements for TeraWave's customer-facing interfaces, including the customer portal, network management system (NMS), SLA reporting dashboards, and performance telemetry views.* Own the API experience layer: define requirements for programmatic access to network status, usage data, and service controls; coordinate with engineering on developer documentation and integration patterns for enterprise and government IT environments.* Define the customer service experience framework: escalation paths, incident communication standards, notification design, and self-service resolution flows. Ensure support interactions are engineered to resolve, not frustrate.* Lead design sprints with UX designers, collaborating as a product peer with deep context. Translate customer workflows into interface decisions. Review prototypes against operational scenarios, not aesthetic preferences.* Own SLA visibility features end-to-end: real-time performance dashboards, proactive breach alerting, automated incident reporting, and customer-accessible audit logs.* Represent the customer experience perspective at engineering design reviews, product reviews, and VP-level leadership forums. Bring data and structured scenarios, not advocacy alone.**Minimum Qualifications*** Bachelor's degree in a technical field; MBA preferred.* 5+ years of product management with an end-to-end ownership track record.* Demonstrated experience conducting and synthesizing user research with technical operators: usability testing, contextual inquiry, task analysis, and journey mapping in complex workflow environments.* Experience with hardware-software co-design processes: or system-level design reviews where operator interfaces were shaped at the architecture stage.* Demonstrated ability to represent product at VP-level reviews.* U.S. person.**Preferred Qualifications*** Financial modeling fluency: ability to build unit economics, pricing models, and revenue projections for a segment.* Understanding of LEO satellite network architecture: modem standards, phased-array antenna constraints, and ground segment design.* Experience defining and owning SLA frameworks for enterprise or government customers.* MBA or equivalent graduate degree.* P&L or revenue-impacting product ownership experience.### Base Pay Range for:WA applicants is $141,162.00 - $197,626.80**Other site ranges may differ** **Culture Statement**Don’t meet all desired requirements? Studies have shown that some people are less likely to apply to jobs unless they meet every single desired qualification. At Blue Origin, we are dedicated to building an authentic workplace, so if you’re excited about this role but your past experience doesn’t align perfectly with every desired qualification in the job description, we encourage you to apply anyway. You may be just the right candidate for this or other roles. **Export Control Regulations**Applicants for employment at Blue Origin must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e. current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum. **Background Check*** Required for all positions: Blue’s Standard Background Check* Required for Certain Job Profiles: Defense Biometric Identification System (DBIDS) background check if at any time the role requires one to be on a military installation* Required for Certain Job Profiles: Drivers who operate Commercial Motor Vehicles with a Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW), Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) or combination of power unit and trailer that meets or exceeds 10,001 lbs. and/or transports placardable amounts of hazardous materials by ground in any vehicle on a public road while in commerce, may be subject to additional Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations including: Driver Qualification Files, Medical Certification (obtained before onboarding), Road Test, Hours of Service, Drug and Alcohol Testing, vehicle inspection requirements, CDL requirements (if applicable) and hazardous materials transportation/shipping training.* Required for certain Job Profiles: Ability to obtain and maintain Merchant Mariner Credential, which includes pre-employment and random drug testing as well as DOT physical **Benefits*** Benefits include: Medical, dental, vision, basic and supplemental life insurance, paid parental leave, short and long-term disability, 401(k) with a company match of up to 5%, and an Education Support Program.* Stock Options for all regular employees (working at least 20 hours/week)* Paid Time Off: Up to four (4) weeks per year based on weekly scheduled hours, and up to 14 company-paid holidays.* Dependent on role type and job level, employees may be eligible for benefits and bonuses based on the company's intent to reward individual contributions and enable them to share in the company's results, or other factors at the company's sole discretion.
