Meet the team:

The Strategic Product Engagement Team is a Splunk force multiplier to drive durable Splunk and Cisco cross-portfolio growth over time. We are building an enterprise product-led growth and retention capability that converts product usage telemetry, lifecycle data, and customer insight into coordinated, proactive action in Product & Technology and partnering with Customer Experience and Sales.

Our mandate is to identify product-rooted challenges and gaps early and activating the right mitigations. Over time, we will extend the same operating model to accelerate adoption, expansion, and Splunk and Cisco cross-portfolio value. We work through a unified engagement model with shared accountability, clear decision rights, and disciplined handoffs to the teams that own the customer relationship, commercial motion, and product roadmap.

Your Impact:

Your ability to translate complex customer needs into clear product requirements, decisions, and action plans will be essential. This role is ideal for a product leader who is equally comfortable shaping strategy, working through ambiguity, and driving disciplined execution without direct authority.

  • Own the strategic product-led customer engagements. Own product-led lifecycle for a portfolio of strategic customers, aligning the level of engagement to customer value and opportunity. Actively represent the Splunk product organization to customers and their Splunk go-to-market leaders.

  • Be the command and control center to drive product-led outcomes. Be the vital connection between Splunk's product and Splunk go-to-market organizations. Serve as a trusted product partner in account planning related to product outcomes. Use telemetry data and AI summarization to drive product-led customer experience and growth workstreams.

  • Translate insight into product action. Deeply understand how Splunk is used by your customer and be able to clearly articulate product opportunities and pain points to Product and Engineering partners.

  • Measure outcomes and business impact. Define and report KPIs tied to product engagement for your customer- usage, health- that informs the product organization of growth opportunities, re-platforming of existing use cases and retention risks.

Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelors + 7 years of related experience, or Masters + 5 years related experience, or PhD + 1 year related experience

  • 7+ years of experience in technical product management or technical customer engagement with high value enterprise customers

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience engaging with senior leadership at enterprise customers on technical issues

  • Experience being a player/coach on the team and also be the trusted product lead to drive technical consensus on a cross functional engineering and go-to-market (sales, and customer success) team supporting complex customers.

  • Experience working with large data sets to identify technical blockers

  • Knowledge of Splunk, AppDynamics, or similar platforms to drive system health and performance insights.

  • AWS/GCP Cloud Architect, CKA (Certified Kubernetes Administrator), or equivalent SRE/DevOps certifications.
