Job description

This role will lead the strategy and governance for the digital products, experiences, and hardware used by partners working in our coffeehouses and the field leaders who support them. Leading a multidisciplinary team of digital product managers, UX designers, and UX researchers, this leader will translate coffeehouse operational needs into a cohesive digital roadmap and partner across the enterprise to deliver simple, connected experiences that improve partner effectiveness and coffeehouse performance.

  • Serve as the centralized governance leader for digital products, experiences, and devices designed for coffeehouse partners and field leaders, leading a multidisciplinary team of digital product managers, UX designers, and UX researchers.
  • Set and manage an integrated partner digital roadmap, lead quarterly planning, and prioritize investments across coffeehouse planning, preparation, production, order, payment, and supporting portfolios.
  • Translate coffeehouse operational needs and partner insights into intuitive, scalable digital products, connected workflows, and technology solutions.
  • Create a cohesive partner digital ecosystem by integrating experiences, workflows, data, and devices across portfolios rather than managing them as standalone solutions.
  • Lead the enterprise strategy and governance for coffeehouse technology devices and full-lifecycle hardware investments across North America, including new hardware, fleet deployment, repair and maintenance, lifecycle planning, and replacement strategies.
  • Partner closely with Starbucks Technology and enterprise product teams to align on capabilities, design, technical dependencies, investment priorities, sequencing, and delivery.
  • Champion partner-centered research, discovery, testing, and feedback loops to ensure solutions address meaningful frontline needs and are successfully adopted in coffeehouses.
  • Establish success measures and use data to connect digital and hardware investments to partner adoption, operational efficiency, service time, accuracy, and overall coffeehouse performance.
  • Build and develop a high-performing multidisciplinary organization while establishing clear product practices, decision rights, accountability, and ways of working.

Basic Qualifications
  • Minimum 10+ years progressive responsibility in Digital Product Management
  • Minimum 10+ years prior people management experience
  • Strong communication skills and proven ability to influence both at a strategic leadership level and cross functionally
  • Expert at working in the agile environment (e.g., user stories, iterative development, scrum teams, sprints, personas)
  • Strategic mindset and bias for action with strong ability for strategic planning and driving business outcomes
  • Ability to lead and influence a team while fostering relationships across multiple enterprise-wide teams
  • Deep domain expertise including knowledge of industry & tech trends and users & customers

  • Bachelors degree in business, marketing, computer science, or engineering
  • Advanced degree

*If you are working in CA, CO, IL, LA, ME, MA, NE, ND or RI, you will accrue vacation up to a maximum of 120 hours (190 in CA) for roles below director and 200 hours (316 in CA) for roles at director or above. For roles in other states, you will be granted vacation time starting at 120 hours annually for roles below director and 200 hours annually for roles director and above.
The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity. At Starbucks, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at the high end of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.
