Job description

Position Summary

SpatialGIS Services, are seeking an experienced Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) to join our dynamic team in Chantilly, Va. The ISSE will play a critical role in defining and implementing robust security measures for our client's information systems. You will lead efforts in cybersecurity, information assurance, and system accreditation, ensuring our client's data and infrastructure are protected against all threats. Key Responsibilities

Lead automated security testing efforts using enterprise-level scanning tools.

Create and deliver monthly vulnerability scans and privileged user/admin reports.

Serve as the overall lead for system security, protecting data and enforcing need-to-know access.

Collaborate with the technical team to develop and manage Plans of Action and Milestones (POAMs).

Develop and maintain the program's System Security Plan (SSP) for Accreditation and Authorization (A&A).

Author and manage the program's Automated Information Systems (AIS) Plan.

Assist the Project Manager (PM) with the Contract Security Plan.

Coordinate with the PM, the client's Information System Security Manager, and the INFOSEC Program Council.

Provide necessary security education and training to program staff.

Required Qualifications
  • Active TS/SCI w/ Poly clearance required.
  • 47 years of professional experience in the following areas:
  • Application security standards and processes.
  • Accreditation and Authorization (A&A), including documentation, POAMs, and remediation efforts.
  • Implementing application and data security requirements for Authorities to Operate (ATO), including encryption, rolebased access control, and information assurance.
  • Coordinating with engineering teams to successfully implement security requirements.
  • Working within an Agile/Scrum development environment.
