Job Description

We are seeking SharePoint Administrator to support the day-to-day management, maintenance, and user support of the organization s SharePoint environment. This role is ideal for a candidate with foundational experience using or helping manage SharePoint, Microsoft 365, document libraries, permissions, and collaboration sites.

The successful candidate will assist with SharePoint site administration, user access management, content organization, troubleshooting, and basic configuration tasks. This position will work closely with IT team members and business users to ensure SharePoint sites are reliable, organized, secure, and aligned with departmental needs.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assist with the administration and maintenance of SharePoint Online sites, lists, libraries, pages, and permissions.
  • Create, update, and manage SharePoint sites and document libraries based on business requirements.
  • Support user access requests, permission changes, group membership updates, and basic security reviews.
  • Help organize and maintain SharePoint content, including folders, metadata, views, and retention practices.
  • Provide first-level troubleshooting for SharePoint-related issues, including access problems, document syncing, broken links, and site navigation concerns.
  • Support Microsoft 365 collaboration tools that integrate with SharePoint, including Teams, OneDrive, and Outlook.
  • Assist with SharePoint governance activities, including site naming standards, permission models, and content ownership tracking.
  • Document common processes, user instructions, and administrative procedures.
  • Work with business users to understand basic collaboration needs and recommend appropriate SharePoint solutions.
  • Escalate complex technical issues to senior administrators, Microsoft support, or other IT teams as needed.
  • Participate in testing, updates, and small enhancement projects related to SharePoint and Microsoft 365.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience working with or supporting a SharePoint environment.
  • Basic understanding of SharePoint sites, document libraries, lists, permissions, and user groups.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365 applications, including Teams, OneDrive, Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow documented procedures.
  • Good troubleshooting, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple support requests and prioritize tasks appropriately.
  • Willingness to learn SharePoint administration, Microsoft 365 governance, and collaboration best practices.
