Hospitalist – Nocturnist

Rush University Medical Center, a nationally recognized clinical and academic institution and the teaching hospital for Rush Medical and Nursing Colleges, invites applications for the position of Hospitalist (nocturnist). This is a full-time position that involves admissions of general Internal Medicine patients at night with the potential to work on some specialty services for a total of 133 shifts.

The Division of Hospital Medicine is comprised of over 70 faculty members focused on clinical excellence, education, quality improvement, patient safety and clinical research. The Division sees over 85,000 patients a year with treatment teams consisting of residents, medical students and Advanced Practice Providers (APP). The position provides a competitive market base salary as well as teaching, administrative and leadership opportunities.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• 133, 12-hour night shifts/year

• Report directly to the Hospital Medicine Division Chief

• Collaboration with Advanced Practice Providers

• 100% inpatient

Rush offers competitive total compensation that includes base pay, benefits, and other incentive programs for our employees. The total pay range shown reflects the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, knowledge and skills; relevant experience and training; education, certifications, and licensure; primary work location; and other business and organizational factors. This total pay range is for a full-time, 1.0 FTE employee, and includes any incentive payments that may be applicable to this role, as well as additional compensation such as sign-on and retention bonuses and relocation allowances. Opportunities for increased compensation based on exceeding productivity targets. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package.

Pay Range: $225,000 - $300,000
