Description:

The Associate Director, Pricing, Forecasting, and Contracting is responsible for leading pricing strategy, payer and channel contracting analytics, gross-to-net decision support, contract rebate bid modeling, and for supporting brand forecasting for Amneal's Specialty Medicine portfolio. This Market Access role serves as a strategic partner to customer-facing Account Directors, Market Access leadership, Finance, Gross-to-Net Team, Commercial Operations and Analytics, and Sales to develop pricing and contracting strategies that optimize access, revenue, profitability, and long-term brand performance.This individual will report to the Senior Director, Pricing, Forecasting, and Contracting and support development of launch Wholesale Acquisition Cost (WAC) recommendations and annual price action analyses and will individually lead payer bid and contract modeling, and ongoing contract performance analysis for all branded specialty medicines. The role requires deep expertise in specialty pharmaceutical pricing and reimbursement dynamics, including AMP, ASP, 340B, URA, IRA implications, price protection, rebate economics, and government pricing sensitivity. The individual must be able to translate complex data from plan-level utilization sources, payer invoice detail, and third-party market data into clear, actionable recommendations for senior leadership.The ideal candidate is a highly strategic and fiercely analytical pricing leader with deep branded specialty experience, strong business judgment, and the ability to connect detailed quantitative analysis to broader portfolio, access, and brand strategy


Essential Functions:

  • Serve as the analytical lead for commercial payer and other strategic contract opportunities, developing bid models and contract recommendations that balance expected brand growth, access improvement, and net revenue impact; Calculate break-even and return-on-contract scenarios by incorporating rebate levels, expected utilization changes, formulary access assumptions, channel dynamics, and projected brand growth; Evaluate payer proposals and contract offers using plan-level utilization data, historical claims or invoice-based utilization patterns, competitive context, and anticipated market-share impact; Develop customer- and segment-specific value/rebate frameworks to support strategic decision-making across Commercial, Medicare Part D, Medicaid, 340B, GPO, LTC, VA/DoD, specialty pharmacy, and other relevant channels; Present pricing and contracting recommendations to senior leadership with clear articulation of risks, tradeoffs, and strategic implications; Support customer-facing Market Access account directors by providing clear compelling bid modeling designed to win business and create access while maintaining profitability and aligning to long term revenue objectives
  • Provide strategic guidance on pricing and contracting decisions by assessing implications for AMP, ASP, 340B, URA, Best Price sensitivity, IRA-related considerations, and price protection exposure; Partner with GTN, Finance, and Government Pricing stakeholders to evaluate the downstream effects of pricing actions, launch assumptions, rebate strategies, and contract structures on net revenue and compliance-sensitive calculations; Support quarterly accrual processes and ongoing GTN forecasting by maintaining accurate assumptions for rebates, fees, discounts, utilization, and customer mix; Identify and communicate pricing and contracting risks associated with government reporting, reimbursement, and policy changes; Help ensure analytics and recommendations are grounded in a practical understanding of operational feasibility, reporting requirements, and compliance constraints.
  • Lead development of short- and long-term pricing strategies for in-line and pipeline specialty brands; Develop launch pricing recommendations, including establishment of WAC, scenario modeling, analog assessment, competitive benchmarking, and evaluation of access, reimbursement, and GTN implications; Support annual price action analyses, including list price change recommendations, scenario assessment, financial impact modeling, and evaluation of downstream implications across payer, provider, and government channels; Support price reporting team by developing communications that inform state and commercial payers of price actions; Build and maintain brand forecast assumptions related to pricing, GTN, access, contract performance, utilization, channel mix; Assess market events, competitive actions, policy changes, reimbursement trends, and all other internal and external catalysts to refine pricing assumptions.
  • Access and analyze payer and customer invoice data available through portal-based reporting tools and other internal/external data sources to quantify utilization, validate assumptions, and identify pricing or rebate trends; Extract actionable insights from plan-level and account-level data to support deal modeling, rebate reconciliation, contract true-up analyses, and post-deal performance measurement; Develop and maintain dashboards, tools, and analytical frameworks to monitor contract performance, payer behavior, utilization shifts, access changes, and profitability by account or segment; Build repeatable analytical approaches for understanding how pricing and contracting decisions affect brand performance over time; Identify data gaps and improve analytical methods, governance, and reporting processes to strengthen decision quality.
  • Act as a key strategic partner to Market Access, Brand, Finance, GTN, Compliance, and Commercial Operations teams; Support annual planning, pricing committee discussions, and contract governance reviews with high-quality analytics and recommendations; Influence stakeholders through clear communication of complex financial and market-access concepts; Help establish best practices, templates, and a center-of-excellence mindset for specialty pricing and contracting analytics; Mentor junior team members as applicable and elevate analytical rigor across the organization.

Education:

  • Bachelors Degree (BA/BS) in a business related function - Required
  • Master Degree (MBA) in a business related function - Preferred

Experience:

  • 10 years or more in Relevant experience in pharmaceutical or biotechnology industries with a preference for prior industry brand , forecasting and pricing experience.
  • 8 years or more in Direct experience in branded pharmaceutical pricing, market access, contracting analytics, GTN, forecasting, or related functions
  • in Demonstrated experience leading complex pricing or contracting decisions for branded specialty products in the U.S. market
  • in hands-on experience in branded specialty pharma where he or she was directly responsible for pricing and bid modeling or within a payer organization where he or she was directly responsible for bid review and acceptance for product formulary placement

  • Deep knowledge of U.S. pharmaceutical pricing and reimbursement for branded specialty medicines

The base salary for this position ranges from $175,000 - $200,000 per year. In addition, Amneal offers a short-term incentive opportunity, such as a bonus or performance-based award, with this position within the first 12 months. Amneal ranges reflect the Company's good faith estimate of what Amneal reasonably believes that it will pay for said position at the time of the posting. Individual compensation will ultimately be determined based on a variety of relevant factors, including but not limited to, qualifications, experience, geographic location and other relevant skills.
