POSITION SUMMARY
This position collaborates with other team members to provide individualized care for clients.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Incorporates the six principles of trauma informed care throughout all aspects of their work.
  • Facilitates and assists in recovery-based activities in individual and group settings
  • Attends and participates in team meetings.
  • Reports and documents client's progress in electronic medical record.
  • Willingness to attend and participate in training, as assigned.
  • Provides clients with a safe environment of care and assists with ADLs as needed.
  • Collects information related to clients through observation and interviews.
  • Engages with clients to encourage a welcoming and safe environment.
  • Participates in de-escalation and crisis management as needed
  • Demonstrating competency in Handle with Care techniques, including physical restraint, is a requirement of this position and is necessary for the safety of patients, staff, and others.
  • Other duties, as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
  • High School Equivalency; experience with mental health preferred.
  • Trauma-informed and recovery oriented
  • Supports there being many pathways to recovery.
  • Willingness to partner with clients regardless of stage of change, seeking to demonstrate compassion and working to guide and evoke change.
  • Knowledge of social determinants of health and recovery capital.
  • Skills in advocacy, organization, and communication.
  • Ability to effectively encourage interpersonal effectiveness and conflict management.
