Position Summary

For thirty years, we've been proud to call St. Joseph, Missouri home. Located an hour north of Kansas City, the community of 77,000 people is packed with character, rich history, and nationally acclaimed quality of life-just like Nestle Purina is. The city was recognized with the All-America City Award, given to communities with citizens who work together to pinpoint and address community-wide challenges and achieve exceptional results. Carrying forward that spirit, since 1985, our wet dog and cat food factory in St. Joseph has provided employment and a special home for many of our associates who work passionately each day to annually produce millions of cases of our flagship brands: Fancy Feast and Beneful Prepared Meals. Our associates' work goes far beyond the bag and the can. They are very passionate about their support for the United Way and United Cerebral Palsy foundations, raising $750,000 over the past five years. Our St. Joseph factory has celebrated increased production and reinvestment, including a $30 million project to remodel our pet food kitchen, as well as installation of new raw ingredient processing equipment. Immediately, you'll train in several areas within the production environment so you can effectively provide support to your assigned position. Since we're a safety-first culture, much of your responsibility will focus on ensuring top-notch maintenance and cleanliness around the equipment is completed. This position has a starting hourly rate of $27.84/hour.

*Must be willing to work Monday-Friday and every other Saturday and Sunday*  

• Work in a manufacturing environment, handling various materials e.g., raw meat, dry ingredients. At times working with large, fast moving machinery.
• Perform quality checks; be able to differentiate defective product from acceptable product.
• Safely operate a fork truck and aerial lift.

Requirements

• 2+ years of manufacturing experience in a manufacturing, technical, warehouse, industrial, military or related environment

OR

• High School Diploma or GED AND 6+ months of manufacturing experience in a manufacturing, technical, warehouse, industrial, military or related environment

*Must be open to working all shifts (1st, 2nd, and 3rd)*

The approximate hourly pay for this position is $27.84. Please note that the pay provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location.
