Description of Work
The Eastern Nebraska Research, Extension, and Education Center (ENREEC) seeks motivated individuals to fill temporary seasonal roles in a variety of positions.
Positions are available at the following locations:
  • ENREEC, near Mead and Ithaca, NE
  • Haskell Ag Lab, near Concord, NE
  • South Central Ag Lab, near Clay Center, NE

A variety of positions are available including:
Groundskeeping
  • Performing basic outdoor grounds maintenance and landscaping duties.

Facilities maintenance and custodial
  • Performing basic building or facility maintenance tasks such as painting, cleaning indoor or outdoor areas, repairing fences.

Farm/Crops Research Assistant
  • Perform basic crop management tasks including planting, weeding, data collection.

Livestock Research Assistant
  • Perform basic livestock management tasks including feeding, watering, cleaning pens.

Full- and part-time positions available. Applications are continuously reviewed.
Within the UNL system, these positions are categorized as Temporary Office/Service Hourly positions.
Temporary employees may be appointed for a period of up to two years. Temporary employees appointed for six months or less are not eligible for benefits. Those appointed for more than six months are eligible for benefits from the beginning of the appointment, provided the position is half-time (.50 FTE) or greater. Benefits for eligible temporary employees include the following: health, dental, vision, and life insurance.
