Job description

As a Technology Support III team member in the Equities Market Production organization, you will ensure the operational stability, availability, and performance of our production application flows. Encourage a culture of continuous improvement as you troubleshoot, maintain, identify, escalate, and resolve production service interruptions for all internally and externally developed systems, leading to a seamless user experience.

Job responsibilities

  • Provides end-to-end application or infrastructure service delivery to enable successful business operations of the firm
  • Supports the day-to-day maintenance of the firm's systems to ensure operational stability and availability
  • Assist in the monitoring of production environments for anomalies and address issues utilizing standard observability tools
  • Identify issues for escalation and communication, and provide solutions to the business and technology stakeholders
  • Analyze complex situations and trends to anticipate and solve incident, problem, and change management in support of full stack technology systems, applications, or infrastructure
  • Monitors trading application stack and critical batch processing to ensure operational stability
  • Engages regularly with business client services, infrastructure, and other stakeholders of supported applications
  • Resolves day-to-day issues impacting the application stack, acting as the first point of contact for Technology and Business
  • Creates, continuously improves, and maintains real-time monitoring dashboards for system operability and performance
  • Manages the on-boarding of new businesses, clients, and applications to the team's portfolio
  • Support on late night and weekends shifts on rotational basis

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • 3+ years of experience or equivalent expertise troubleshooting, resolving, and maintaining information technology services
  • Demonstrated knowledge of applications or infrastructure in a large-scale technology environment both on premises and public cloud
  • Experience in observability and monitoring tools and techniques
  • Exposure to processes in scope of the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) framework
  • Undergraduate degree in a numerate subject (e.g. mathematics, engineering, computing science)
  • Experience with Control M and Autosys Scheduler
  • Experience developing and supporting applications built on Python, Java, or .NET framework
  • Experience with relational databases and ability to write complex SQL queries
  • Experience working with UNIX/Linux platforms - Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)
  • Proficiency with incident and problem management best practices including resource coordination, stakeholder communication, root cause analysis, and incident post mortems

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Working knowledge of public cloud
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Networking/Infrastructure 
  • Experience with KDB or other non-SQL databases
  • Experience supporting public/private cloud-based, Java, or e-commerce applications a plus
  • AWS certifications preferred (Cloud Practitioner, Architect, and/or Developer Associate)
  • Working knowledge of Grafana and Tableau is a plus
