Job description

PL/SQL Analyst

We are looking for a Technical Support Analyst for a full-time, fully remote opportunity. The engagement is to work within a split team of 10 to support a suite of financial applications in a NYC bank. The selected candidate will develop and maintain complex IBM Cognos reports and Oracle PL/SQL queries, support a Loan Application and its interfaces, consult with business users, and must have banking or loan application experience.

What You'll Do
  • Develop, maintain, and modify complex reports, queries, and data extracts using IBM Cognos and Oracle PL/SQL.
  • Support and maintain the Loan Application and its associated interfaces, ensuring smooth functionality and integration.
  • Consult with business users to address application functionality questions and provide technical guidance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues at the server, client, and interface levels, including working with vendors for support and upgrades.
  • Create ad-hoc reports and data extracts for regulatory, IT, and business needs, leveraging strong SQL and data modeling skills.
What You'll Need
  • PL/SQL and SQL Development/ Development Support
  • Minimum of 5 years applications support and/or development experience in the financial domain.
  • Strong Financial Applications Background, preferably supporting a loan or deposit type system – e.g. LoanIQ.
  • Strong Data Modeling and SQL skills that can be applied to interface development, ad-hoc data extracts and scheduled report writing.
  • Experience working with and supporting interfaces for a data warehouse – e.g. OFSA.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills – at server, client and interface level.
  • Excellent Data Analytics skills.
  • Proven ability to work with a vendor regarding support issues, enhancements and upgrades.
  • Ability to quickly develop ad-hoc reports on the fly for regulatory and IT purposes.
  • Ability to document business requirements and present comprehensive, logical solutions to business users.
  • Oracle 10g/11, Microsoft SQL Server, PL/SQL programming, Schemas, Views, Stored Procedures, Triggers experience
  • Report development experience
  • Enterprise Scheduling Tools (e.g. Cybermation, AutoSys) experience
  • ETL Tools (e.g. SSIS, DTS, Informatica) experience
  • Utilities development (batch scripting, ftp scripting) experience
  • Data Modeling Tools (e.g. Erwin) experience

  • Ability to safely and successfully perform essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standards
