Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments and develop tailored treatment plans for clients, ensuring a personalized approach to therapy.
• Deliver individual, couples, family, and group therapy sessions utilizing a variety of evidence-based techniques including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), psychodynamic therapy, and solution-focused brief therapy.
• Maintain accurate and compliant clinical documentation, adhering to ethical and legal standards as required by state regulations.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including psychologists and social workers, to provide integrated client care and improve treatment outcomes.
• Engage in ongoing professional development, participate in training sessions, and remain current with the latest research in the field of mental health.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The LPC will serve a broad spectrum of clients, ranging from individuals facing mild to moderate mental health challenges such as anxiety and depression, to those requiring more intensive support. Our clientele includes adults, couples navigating relationship issues, families seeking therapy, and individuals dealing with trauma or substance abuse. The diversity of clients requires a counselor who is adaptable and skilled in various therapeutic modalities.

Qualifications

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a closely related field is required.
• An active and unrestricted Professional Counselor (LPC) license in Arizona is mandatory.
• Minimum of two years of relevant counseling experience, ideally in a clinical environment.
• Experience in family therapy, couples counseling, trauma-informed care, or addiction treatment is highly valued.
• Strong understanding of legal and ethical considerations in the counseling profession.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with clients from diverse backgrounds.
• Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems and other relevant software applications.

Preferred Experience

• Familiarity with telehealth practices and the ability to maintain a high level of professionalism in virtual settings.
• Experience working as part of a health care team to coordinate client care effectively.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying abreast of new methodologies and trends in mental health.

Compensation and Benefits

• Annual salary range of $60,000 to $90,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
