Job Responsibilities:

Position Overview

The HR Intern provides quality HR compliance and support to the HR team and Magna New Mobility employees.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provides general support to the Human Resources team
  • Maintains strict confidentiality of all information obtained, written or verbal, within the Human Resources Department
  • Assists in various HR activities such as, updating company policies and job descriptions, updating New Hire Orientation slides, filing, and creating New Hire packets
  • Assists recruitment of vacant positions as required (screening of resumes, phone screens, reference checks, etc.)
  • Prepare Word, Excel, and PowerPoint documents for site-wide communications
  • Properly handle employee requests through responsiveness, follow-up, and escalation.
  • Track progress, deadlines, and priorities of all projects
  • Assist the Sr. HR Generalist in any HR needs including daily projects, orientation, filing, etc.
  • Assist the Sr. Talent Acquisition Specialist in any recruitment needs

Qualifications:

  • Some related experience preferred
  • Personable, able to deal with a variety of people comfortably and pleasantly
  • Strong customer service skills

Education / Experience

  • High School Diploma
  • Currently Attending a College or University
  • HR or Business-related Degree

Special Knowledge / Skills:

  • Proficient Computer knowledge and skills, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Professional Communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Strong technical and analytical competence in select areas of technology.

Physical Demands / Work Environment:

  • Normal amount of sitting or standing, average mobility to move around an office environment, able to conduct normal amount of work at a computer.
